After 11.5 yrs of standing in the queue, Blue fairy finally completed the transition to a Green Fairy today after receiving the coveted "card/document production" email. Although life didn't stop waiting in queue for a GC, this is still a much awaited milestone for the fairy family.

My PD was Oct 2009 and country of chargeability is India. I will not bore you with my journey through the process, but will tell you that jobs, promotions, house, kids all were prioritized way more than the GC. The same things will continue to be priority as I wait to hit the next milestone in about 5 or so years.

RFE responded : Jan 2021 with Supp-J and Medicals .
Interview : Did not have any interviews.
Been on EAD from 2012 . Did not renew HIB after 2012 .
Been on 3 jobs on EAD . Never an issue

My Advise - Don't lose hope, take calculated risks. EB category is the safest , USCIS will give you the benefit as we are the least risk category .

Hoping to have all those that files back in 2010/12 to get as soon as possible. My immediate reaction after seeing the status update was of 'Profound Silence". Not sure how to put it though. it was not relief or happiness, but just silence.

Just to add it, purely based on Spec's predictions back in 2012 (late 2011 and early 2012) I made career choices so that I can get EAD/AP. I still remember Spec is the only one that predicted date movement at that time.

Thank you Spec. Indeed I used your predictions to switch around jobs since I wanted to file 485 before it retrogresses again back in 2012. (literally did a U turn to go back to primary company since dates were going to be current and new labor was nowhere close to getting approved). All is well that ends well.
