So it seems like they activated your receipts earlier but didn't send you the notice and followed the FIFO in assigning FP slot. I am presuming Usernameisnotvalid's envelope made it a few minutes ahead of mine on 2/1 (costing me no less than 7 days). Hopefully all 3 of us would be low hanging fruit and be done with these anxious days/months soon.

I don't know. My wife's and daughter's apps were submitted same day and they have same RDs as mine but FP appointment for them is on 3/14 (although in their case I am planning to do early walk-in when I go there on 3/7)

It seems Mr. Heisenberg at USCIS is processing our apps :-). No certainty!

None of the Tsc- Feb filer's case can be found in 'My Case Status'. Somebody from the other forum called the customer service and got an answer to this. Uscis has Feb filers' data entered into their system, but not updated in the server for public view.

I called w.r.to our case( missing receipt notice), I was turned down for not completing 30 days eligibility from filing date to call for updates.

Thanks for the update. I thought of calling them but I will wait for some more time. It indicates to me that these agencies are experiencing heavy load as expected.

manzoor, FP date is purely based upon how crowded is the nearest ASC and how soon they can accomodate new appointments.

Sometimes I wonder if USCIS/DOS/CO/Consulate employees have a secret blog of their own and every once in a while when it gets quiet out here they do something random/out of whack and then have a blast over it by quoting all the flutter their action generated here, on trackitt and other forums. Maybe they have a winner of the day award for the freak who can come up with the most convoluted logic of interpreting procedures/manuals to do something that throws the calculation of all the gurus out of the window and the one who baffles the most gets a "employee of the day" or something.....Sick bastards

Well this forum is definitely way lucky for me.
Last time I posted something, I got my FP notices in postal mail in the evening. After a busy lull period I again posted something today and EAD card production SMS and emails, without FP (scheduled for tomm).

Heard its getting embarassing for some at ours (Jersey) as well. One of my colleagues witnessed someone having not such a good time at the hands of the supervisor ..... it was quite audible with no attempt to spare the embarassment to the "smart one". Apparently so many people showed up there with "compelling reasons" to "check if it was possible to prepopone" that even the halfwits figured that there was a trend there and have started dishing it out aplenty. Whatever little desire I had towards attempting the same vanished after hearing the details.....somethings are just not worth it.

If the center is less crowded they are allowing I believe. When I googled for early walk-in experiences at our ASC, I decided not to think abt it.

Folks, how long does it take from "Decision" to "Card/Production" to "Picked by USPS" for I-485. My status changed today morning to DECISION "On February 27, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status."

Got my EAD and Ap approval email, just now. Card production is the current status.

Folks, how long does it take from "Decision" to "Card/Production" to "Picked by USPS" for I-485. My status changed today morning to DECISION "On February 27, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status."

Average it takes 7 days to get card. Once you see card ordered , call L2 next day and you will get a tracking no for your shipment. If you are in big building and fear that you may lose mail, you can plan day off.

Roller coaster.... this is going to add to the concern of people patiently waiting since Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov... on one hand, it's nice to see people getting approved...who knows what they've been through..on the other hand, it's hard to watch a black box with no idea what's going on inside....

I totally agree essenel, well put . The black box part is extremely frustating. I think it is time to get proactive and start talking to the centre using any and every means possible ..mutliple calls/SR/Infopass/Senator route !!!

Our time has come!!!! Our status (wife and me) changed to "Approved" just now on the decision. This journey has been long and tiring. I really hope everyone gets relief especially Leo and Teddy who have been the torchbearers for this forum.

Friends- As you know i got CPO email/SMS yesterday and evening i got Decision email/sms and again mid-night it went to CPO email/sms. I called L2 today to get USPS tracking number and she said the card is not been sent to print yet

questions:- Do we get any SMS/EMail once Card is sent to print or Any SMS/EMAIL after its picked by USPS. Please let me know should i call L2 again or what is the process?

could not agree more on the blackbox statement. While I was thinking about GC ( may be easier to identify moments when not thinking about it ) I got reminded of one quote from someone on this forum a couple of months ago. It said succintly

"aayah tho aayah baaki sab maayah".

The above phrase aptly surmises this madness.

So many theories,analogies,comparisons,observations but USCIS outmaneuver's us every time with their processes once we are inclined to accept a theory.

May be it is easier to spot the highest prized box on deal or no-deal in the initial jumbling rather than predicting any order in this process.

Hello,

I'm new a member on this blog. My wife and I applied for I-1485, I-765 and I-131 and received receipts and FP notices too, but the receipts are not recognized in the automated status check system on USCIS, also called national customer support still the same. Is anyone else facing the same issue? Please suggest how long does it usually take for the automated status check to pick up the receipts?
