    Friends,
    WE GOT APPROVED.....................................

    FInally our wait is over. Got CPO email now for both at 11:45. As you know we got RFE ( Self - BC+Vaccine and Dep - Vaccine). Our RFE was accepted on Feb 21 and i got my approval today.
    Sweet NSC.This wait killed me and now its a big relif. I am very happy to share this news to one of the best forum ever i have been a member. T and Loe you should see your appvoal in a week.
    Thank you everyone who was behind me and gave me lots of kind words. I should mention you guys because you are behind me and boosting me so much. Leo, GCHopeful, soggadu, Nishant, Q, T, Spec, Veni, essenel,tackle,gctracker,gc0907 and one and all. I donno what i am typing but its a jolly time for us.

    I am going to take a break at work now and give party to folks here and will go home and continue on our lovely forum tonight. Thank you one and all

    Congrats again, IEB2!!!!!!!!!

    Friends, I got my RFE letter today (2/27) - asking for a copy of my birth certificate. Letter says to resend copy of BC even if I sent it before as it's not in the supporting documents! (Along with the other standard verbiage)

    So..... this means I should just resubmit what I had submitted before? I had submitted my bc along with an affidavit signed by both my mother and father, since the bc didn't have our full names. Should I submit further evidence (ration card, 10th class marks sheet) or no need?

    Also, can I submit it myself or do I need to go through my lawyer? My I-485 was filed by my lawyer. I am going to contact the lawyer and update him, but it would be good to get your opinions too

    RFE notification

    Today got the RFE notification email..Waiting for the details...On the website it shows the RFE is for additional evidence!! I have heard mixed reviews abt what it may curtail!! Could the experts chime in!!

    Will update the group on what the RFE is about!!

    99mutd08, mine also said 'additional evidence', but when I got the letter, it only asked for a copy of my birth certificate. So, it could be something as simple as that...

    you can do it yourself and save 250 if you want to. make sure you communicate that to your attorney and don't piss them off when you are so close to finish line.

    Thanks essenel!! Here is my sorrow with BC.Original documents with the application I had submitted
    1) BC with name different from my actual name(Birth name different from legal name)
    2) Affidavits from mum and dad clarifying the name
    3) School certificates indicating first use of my name!!
    4) Ration card

    So I know its too early to say but would I submit all of it again assuming it is the BC?

    Really keeping fingers crossed !!

    I asked a similar question a few posts ago. I am going to try to talk to my lawyer tomorrow and clarify as to what has to be submitted. In my case, my bc didn't have our full names (only initial of last name) and my mom's name had a mistake in it. I had originally submitted my bc and an affidavit signed by my parents. I will let you know what my lawyer says.

    In your case though, you seemed to have submitted enough evidence the first time around. *I think* resubmitting what you have should be enough. It's going to depend on the wording of the RFE letter. Let's see what your letter says....

    Guys Ron Gotcher had published some article some days back according to him most BC related RFE's are coming back because the attorneys just attached 1 copy of the BC or related documents which got attached to the EAD / AP file. So probably if they are not asking for anything specific on the RFE its probably ok to just send the same BC and the supporting documents or affidavits back. Going via attorney or not is just based on your confidence level maybe just go by them this is the last time in this journey.

    Essenel - Submit affidavit from each of your parents and one combined. Also submit your 10 / 12 TC ...also include your indian driving license and PAN Card. This is more than enff
