    Thanks indiaeb2 !
Yep that was quite a wait given that folks from Dec at TSC were getting approved, although theoretically i shouldn't be complaining as i am still in the 90 day processing period.
My best wishes to all those who have been approved in the interim as i was avoiding the forum per my therapist recommendation
    Now the real wait starts.....

Awesome! At least you can relax knowing that your case is in the pipeline. My RD was Nov 8 and I got my EAD/AP card late last week, so it is within reason.

    Thank you all.
Teddy with the surge of NSC approvals you'd think they are using QSP right ? And if they retrogress where do you think its gonna go back to?
    Thanks again.

I wanted to ask one another question to all of you.
If you plan to travel abroad without a valid H1B stamp but have an approved Advance parole ( provided there is no RFE on your 485, Soggadu got me paranoid the other day ) you have two choices to enter back, either get H1B stamping or using your AP.

Lets say you want to keep your H1b and decide to go to the interview and there is a delay in getting it or there is a rejection.....can you enter using the AP after a delay in H1B or frank rejection for that matter ?

No case status online as well as no EAD approval....

I just called cust service since none of our receipts are traceable online. I was told that my EAD is not approved yet , Finger print was uploaded same day it was taken. I asked about background check and she said she can't check if it is completed or not but once back ground check is completed case will be pre adjudicated and waiting for visa number. Looks like I am one of those unlucky one here who can't track case online and no sign of approval for anything .......

Following is the profile of the person from Trackitt - http://www.trackitt.com/member/485info.
A couple of things are not 100% clear he does have the combined EAD / AP card, however AP case status is in initial review, did he have the AP approved prior to departure. If AP is not approved prior to departure it may not be valid. They allowed his wife in but did not allow him looks like his wife had H4 stamped on a previous visit while most likely he did not have the stamping himself. The rules and memos do keep changing from time to time, some airports can also be worse than the others; some in the NYC are especially infamous this incident happened at SFO. Yes if your stamping is denied you can ask for your passport and come on AP. Honestly best to wait for GC itself and then travel. 485info definitely seems to have had a very tough call and it’s really unfortunate. If RFE indeed invalidates AP and since our cases may become active anytime it’s a big concern most memos do suggest that the case should just go into suspension, Iam not sure in this case if it’s just a RFE it maybe a NOID (Notice of intent to Deny) that is a more serious thing.
Yes quarterly spillover is in play and most of us TSC filers should be greened in 2 months. If you can delay your trip by a couple of months that would be the safest way out. Most of the issues are with IT consultants or if they hold you for a security check (Researchers in classified areas) in stamping if you are not part of these 2 categories I think your stamping chances are good. Doctors should be non controversial so best to try for stamping in your case in case you want to travel right away.

Thanks for the link. Good to see that they have finally released the inventory information. Is it just me, or are the numbers in 2007 (EB2 Jul - Sep PDs) actually less than predicted? Maybe they appear to be low as many of them have already got their GCs. Anyway, I'll wait for the analysis from the Gurus. Also, I know this question has been answered several times already, but do "Demand" (pre-adjudicated cases) also show up under Inventory?

    Stemcell,

Even though you are a doctor, if you have a research background, you might want to do further research on security checking. For e.g. this document from Boston University is from the US dept of State, 2002 (a little old, but I think security check / technology alert list areas will not have changed much). Under section F, chemical biotechnology and biomedical engineering, there are areas listed such as Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Immunology, Virology, Bacteriology, Mycology, Microbiology, Growth and culturing of microorganisms, Pathology, Toxicology, Study of toxins, Virulence factors, Genetic engineering, recombinant DNA technology, etc, etc (I just copy-pasted).

I don't know if physicians fall under this, but researchers certainly do. It's worth checking to see if physicians can also get security checked.

    Here are those links:
    http://www.bu.edu/isso/forms/tal.pdf
https://www.facebook.com/groups/50933335266/ (This facebook forum, '221g/ Visa Mantis/ Technology Alert List or TAL check', might have some more info. Most of the posters are regular 221G, but there are also TAL 221G who post)

Personally, I had to clear a TAL check in another area which took 3 months, so I am not risking that again

    essenel,

Thank you for posting. I am from the clinical side and not research side.
Anyways it was more of 'what if' question.
I am not sure of the percentages of Advance parolees who also set up a visa interview....must be very very low. I guess one has already made his mind up once on Advance parole i.e to skip the visa interview.
    Thanks again.
