Post 485-Filing

Hello Gurus,,

Need urgent help I have received the receipt of self and my dependents for I485,I131 etc.


For me,mywife and my younger daugter the Service Center is Nebraska(LIN)

For my elder daugther the Service center is Texas(SRC).

Can any Gurus help me how to get this fixed so that I will not have
issues at a later date.

I can understand your feeling stemcell... i was in the same boat sometime back... i understand only EAD can bring you peace but believe me and just keep moving, spend more time with family, have a fight with the wife :-) ... you will forget about this... waise... all the best for speedy EAD cpo mails... hey , you never know, you might b one of those guys who gets their GC directly ... hang on to the stem bro...

Got email n text yesterday 1/21 at 6.15 PM PST.

Case status shows card ordered for EAD for me n wife on 1/20 and AP approval notice mailed on 1/20 again for both me n wife.

Now FP if get notice next week then all done from my side. After this whenever IO picks u file, either RFE or approval. Hallejulah.

Thanks to everyone...I have been a silent follower of this forum from Nov 2011.

Below are my details. Filed 485 for both me & my spouse at the same time 12/1/2011. I received EAD/AP approval email last night but spouse's online EAD/AP status still shows Initial Review. Is this usual.. anyone else in a similar situation?

NSC | PD: 01/08/08 | RD: 12/01/11 | ND: 12/05/11
FP Notice: 1/06/12 | FP Appt: 1/26/12 | FP early walk-in completed: 1/09/12
EAD/AP: Approved 1/19/12

My case is also same. Spouse NSC and mine wen to TSC . I spoke with my attorney's office and it seems the lock box locations are forwarding to the service centers based on the work load. I was told that althought it went to different SCs it does not make any difference with the approvals . Infact now , most of the cases are apparently forwarded to the TSC irrespective of your living location since it is better equipped to handle big work loads...again this is what I gathered from my research and also on trackit I found many such smilar cases that confirms the trend...I think you are cool ..your daughter should get approvals ...now I'm just guessing TSC might delay by a few days compared to NSC ...my curiosity has been with 2 different service centers means 2 different IO's handling the cases ...will the dependents file get picked at the sametime as the primary or will it be treated as different entities altogether ...I believe at 485 approval stage the primary and dependents are tagged together ...hope this helps.

polar bhai, I know how you feel. Unfortunately there is no words of consolation for this. Easy to say that be patient, you will get it, but I know that until you actually get it, its just restless.

now if they could send FP, I could relax further and start the waiting game.

Sogaddu bhai the game has really started. Besides RD , ND, PD luck will play a rule. We have seen very few Nov filers being approved so basically you have to be a low hanging fruit and drop into an officers mouth hopefully he will have it open and if he likes you then he will eat you and then might presss the approval button .
Abhi Dili dikh rahi hai lekin door hai. Peene ka maza leejiye kyuki dard hi dard hai is intezaar mei jeene mei . Nov filers ka approval abhi shayad 1 - 6 mahine lega depending on all factors and available numbers (So Chillorama and hope for the best).

nahi yaar, no FP so far. after FP you can get approved anytime. My "golum' alter-ego tells me that within a week of FP being done, I will be approved

peene ke maze se yaad aya, let me share my story of EAD/AP.

I had gone to California Pizza Kitchen with family. I ordered a cocktail for myself, thought I will enjoy a drink to drown my misery. 15 minutes later I had got up to ask the waitress why no bread butter out yet (for some reason, I look forward to the free bread butter more than the actual food), and at that time I got four text messages, one after the other. All I remember seeing was LINxxxxxxxx some numbers. Then I checked case status online and saw updates. I swear I have never enjoyed a drink more than that time.

FP notice - Jan filer

Hi All,

Excited to receive FP notification yday and the FP appt date is 02/14.

My details are as follows

PD - Feb26, 2008
Filing date - Jan 6th
RD - Jan 9th
FP RD - Received the mail on Jan 23th
FP Appt - Feb 14th
SC - TSC

Guess 5 weeks for FP appt is not bad. I know I could file in Dec but missed the boat due to travel. Fortunate enough to get it through in Jan. Anybody from Dec filers getting EADs/AP from TSC.

Thanks Nishant...Well I kind of know (GUESS) why I did not get the EAD/AP.
Me & my wife both had legal name changes. The new name won't be there on any of my other documents. its only on the court order. I think they want to check the Biometrics before they issue EAD. so my FP is scheduled on 1/30/2012. I might get ead after the FP and name check. Lets see.

Guys did you observe on Trackitt lot of OCT filers are getting RFEs for simple reasons?? I saw some nov filers too got RFEs.

See this post on Trackitt...does any one has link to real source??? 11% approvals in next 5 weeks could move the approvals to Oct, 2007 (means Nov Filers should get GC by end of FEB, 2012)

hey dude... congratulations on becoming current... TSC is very good with notices, so dont worry. My FP notices came in 10 days after receipt notices... So expect something similar... they dont send FP notices or for that matter EAD/AP according to PD. They just follow PD only for the GC... hope this helps...
