Applied on Nov 30 for December 1st - Check deducted on 12/06

    Folks,
If it is in wrong thread then please move it to an appropriate thread.

    My wife & I applied for I485
    Details:
    PD = 12/23/2007
    Center = Texas (TSC)
    Applied on = 11/30/2011
    Check deducted = 12/06/2011

    Few funny things:
Never been happier to see money going away from our accounts.
We put an alert on check debit of >200 so I get an email alert and it did not work because they electronically deposited (ACH debit)

Good luck to all of you.

Note: Special thanks to Q, Teddy, Veni, Spec, Nishant and all other Gurus, which have become part of our daily life.

Sogaddu bhai, GC trend is really for both. Hardly anyone is getting approved in less than 4 months at any of the service centers for people like us it is under the assumption that the dates stay current. EAD / AP is also realistically for both, some NSC filers are getting EAD in 1-1.5 monthsbut that represents a very small number.

    Hi Guru's,

PD Jan2, 2008, lawyer received my docs on Nov28th, i agree each law firm is different in speed and accuracy but in general can anyone share how many days your lawyer took to file. It looks like some people seeing checks deposited 6-7days after filing, i am checking my account everyday hoping to be processed. I could not reach my lawyer (assuming this is normal), and getting nervous. Please advice.

    Thanks,
    Harsha

It depends on Lawyers and how busy they are ( some times they might be short of staff but lot of applications). And many immigrant lawyers might not respond first weeks of these kind of months. And also i heard TSC processes receipts little fast. So my personal opinion is not to worry.

I hope someone can help me here. My wife is in India now and our priority date will be current in Jan 1st.

    Background
She is going to apply for her H4 and travel to US by end of the month. She is currently employed in India and does not want to quit her job. Planning to come to the US on leave in order to apply

    Questions
    1. How long should she stay in the US after submitting docs on 1st Jan? Should she stay here until the entire process is complete?
    2. How long after receipt date biometrics notification come? Can she leave the country after submitting docs and come back again for Bio Metrics? on H4 visa
    3. After doing Bio Metrics, can she go back and reenter on H4 on EAD
    4. How long does it take for Bio metrics after applications submission

    Any help would be great

    Question on Medicals

    Hi All,

I was skimming through my records and noticed that I have a copy of immunization form that I had originally submitted in 1999 to my University (part of MS application process etc.)

I contains MMR, Varicella and other required immunization information and is actually a properly notarized form.

Can I show the same form and get a waiver to get these shots again ?

Whats your take on that ?

  12. #312
That shd work - will actually save you some time and money with the civil surgeon.

    Friends,
Received our FP Notices today. Scheduled date is 12/29/2011, but I am planning to go earlier than that. Weird thing is that they have sent FP notice for my kid as well - just ridiculous!!! . Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

EDIT: Ok - so after some googling-poogling i understand that this is not a one-off case. We have to take the child for FP as well - only diff is that, for child only 1 finger is taken. The child is signified with "code 2" on the FP notice while for us it's "code 3". Checking with lawyer in any case....

    Got receipts today. updated signature.

    - receipt numbers not being able to find in case status check, I am not worrying on it, hopefully they update their systems soon. the numbers are LIN*, for NSC
    - wife's PD as 12/1/2011, and preference classification blank, lawyer says its ok
