photos for 485

guys.... I am in central new jersey and the cheapest passport photo I can avail is 2 copies for 7.5 dollars at Wal-Mart and it would be around 25 dollar with tax for 6 photos....
I am not trying to b cheap, but any1 found any better I'dea than Spending 50 dollars on photos?

I use http://www.epassportphoto.com/ for all my EAD & AP applications.
Take a photo with a digital camera with no zooming, making sure both of your ears are visible and on an off white background ( apartment walls are perfect).
Upload the photos to the site following the instructions on the site. You will get around 5 photos per sheet in a 4X6" size. Take this image to CVS/Walgreens/Walmart etc and take a 4X6 print for a few cents. Cut the photos using a scissor and use it.

I tried epassportphoto once before, and took it to be printed at Walmart. They refused to print the 5 photos for the cost of 1 4X6 print. They said they will charge $8 dollars PER photo for anything that comes off epassport !!

My lawyer mentioned in his documents list that only 4 photos needed stating the reason that now the EAD and AP is combined. So no need of 6 photos.

I had the same question but for some reason my attorney highlighted that i needed 6 photos, so that kept me from me asking her.....

CVS has the best deal on passport photos. They charge $8 for the first 2 photos and they charge only 25 cents for any additional copy thereafter. So, for 6 photos, CVS charges you $9. Don't think anything beats it.

P.S: Usually it is $10 for the first 2 photos, but they have a coupon on CVS website for $2 till 12/31

Hi

My employer is based in GA and filed all the required documentation in GA back in 2008 for my GC., All docs are approved without a query.

In 2010 I have moved to FL and working in FL; now I need to move to another state.

With the latest visa bulletin, I became current (my priority date is 02/2008); I have contacted my lawyer, and he is suggesting to be in GA where my employer located.

Looking at my own career, moving back to GA is not a good idea for me. So I am wondering, what kind of problems I could face if I move to some other state and continue my GC process i.e. file the I485 from a new state.

All these years, whenever I have moved, I filled my AR-11 (online) all times, and maintained LCA status wherever I worked.

Please advice on what kind of risk involved if I have to continue my 485 from some other state which is different from my employer state. IN some forums I read that I have start my GC process from scratch if I change my job location.

To my understanding, isn't the GC for future position? Then why a person need to be in the same state before the GC is approved?
And in case if that is true then there will be tons of constultants who will need to do ammendments.

Guys . For 485 filing they asked for pics of me and my wife in social gatherings etc etc . What kind of pics is everyone putting together and do we need to write in the back of it identifying the people in the pics.

Sorry but this sounds ridiculous. Is your lawyer telling you give these? This is not a requirement by USCIS for I-485. I know they ask these kind of photo albums for the consulate interviews (for H1, L1 etc).

Can someone please tell me the easiest/cheapest way to make color photocopies of passport?
My office doesn't have a color photocopier machine. When i try to scan the passport, the image files are not coming in consistent sizes (either its small or big)

Hi,

I noticed that few people here got the additional set of photos done at CVS for $0.28 after the initial payment of $7.99(after a discount of $2) for the first 2 photos. However, when I checked with one of the CVS stores in Omaha, NE, they told me that they would charge $9.99 for each additional photo set. Do I need to say something specific at CVS to get the additional set done at $0.28 per photo. Appreciate any input.

I understand that it recommended that you work for your GC sponsoring employer for 6-12 months after your get the GC.

While working for the GC sponsoring employer immediately after receiving the GC, do you also have to be working out of the same location from where your PERM and I-140 were filed? Or is it just sufficient to be working for the GC sponsoring employer regardless of office location?

Note: The employer is not a consulting firm and hence the PERM/I-140 filing specified a single work location as opposed to saying 'Multiple Locations'.

You can get passport photos very cheap at Hy-Vee stores. We got it done for only $6.95+ tax (6 photos each for me and my wife).

I would say relocate 180 days since I485 RD. That way you are protected citing AC21 rules even though you have already received 485 approval.
