I believe Q is requesting us to not to post comments or suggestions related to any thing other than predictions in this particular thread.
Those respective posts can be done in other threads, which are open or create new ones (which I never tried), so that this thread will be nice & clean for every one to have clear look at the predictions and Q doesn't have to spend time in cleaning it.
Q and All, Please forgive me if I am mistaken...
Thanks to all the helpful advice, I am happy to report that the 221G for correcting the employer's name in the H1B visa has been resolved. We received our passports back today, just in time for our flights back next week.
For future reference, I am documenting my experience here. My H1B visa stamping was done in New Delhi Embassy. When we received our passports back, we realized that the employer names had been misprinted (a different employer with a very similar name, somebody selected the wrong option on a drop down, I am amazed that there is no data validation for this critical step!). We contacted VFS and they asked us to submit the passport for visa correction with a cover letter and a small change fee. We did that on Oct 19th. We did not hear anything back for many days - so we sent emails to VFS and they told us that our case was in 221G processing. We duly freaked out and reached out to people here on the board - we received many informative replies with the common theme that 221G is a blanket umbrella term and since the visa is already issued, this is a minor case and it should not take much time. A 2-4 week typical turnaround time was mentioned. Today, its around 2 weeks and we got the corrected visas today. The old visa was stamped with "Cancelled Without Prejudice" and new visa with the correct employer name was printed on a new leaf. VFS staff mentioned that it took a little longer because of Diwali etc or such cases are usually done in a matter of days.
So a happy ending. Thank you again to all the posters who took the time out to share their experiences and advice. I hope my experience will be helpful to other people in similar situations in future.

I specifically asked for it a little while back. I wanted to be sure I atleast figured out gaps in my "packet" so that I could chase that down. They made a point to tell me NOT to do medicals or photos till I got current.

imdeng, We all are truly happy for you. Also thanks for noting your experience down. I am sure it will be helpful to others.
As per moderators I have received quite a few names. Picked first 3 (jack brown, Monica, Pedro) and have given them moderator access.
As I said - I am not overly worried about keeping thread clean. Its more important that people benefit from this and then help each other. It will be nice if we raise these discussions in appropriate forums directly. But if somebody desperately wants visibility and uses this thread we shouldn't fault him/her.
Moderators, please use caution while using your powers. Freedom of speech and helping each other is paramount. Thanks a ton for your help. If you have issues then please communicate at qesehmk@gmail.com You can also write to Teddy Nishant Veni or Spec. They can help too. They have been doing it for quite a while now.

Teddy, is there anything that can be related to the Dec VB due to this. I am asking as most people would get nervous reading this.
My opinion is that the Dec VB EB2IC movement would have nothing to do with this. This would be already known to CO last month when he predicted, he has already given out full cap of IC, the qualified demand is not yet down to 0.
I am not a lawyer, and it's always best to consult an immigration attorney.
Nishant, the Dec bulletin should not be impacted by this at all. This is all about how many numbers the agencies are releasing for approvals this month. So far none of the approvals have been for people beyond July 15th who were preadjudicated.
However the sooner it comes the better the outcome will be. The bulletin coming sooner means that they want to create a larger pipeline anyway without bothering about how many cases they get this month. While the bulletin coming later indicates that they are monitoring counts at the lockbox centers. Lets hope for the best for the bulletin, good luck to you and all.
Yes, this is slightly disheartening. But, again anticipated, right? We know that there are only x number of visas that can be allotted and date-movement is to build pipe line.
If the same trend( slow down of approvals) continues for next 3 weeks, Jan VB will not pose good news for EB2I.
That said, this slow down will not have any effect on December VB, which btw must be just waiting to be uploaded.
The demand data is not yet uploaded. Is there any chance of both the visa bulletin and demand data coming out in the same day?
What is the USCIS Inventory data? Someone in Trackitt mentioned that its out?
Finally got the approval email today for myself and my wife.
EB2 India Priority date 5/30/07 Texas Service Center.
I contacted Senator's office on 10/4/11. I received a reply from Senator's office on 10/11/11. The reply stated that my category was EB 3 India and priority date was August 17, 2007 and that there was no visa number available currently.
I sent a follow up inquiry via Senator's office on 10/12/11 with I-485 receipts and I-140 approval notice. I received a reply back from Senator's office on 10/19/11 that USCIS has forward my application for further processing based on the information I provided.
Opened a service request 10/24/11. Received a reply on 10/31/11 that the application is being processed and I should hear something back within 60 days.
Sent an email to tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov on 10/31/11 requesting the status of the case. Finally I received the approval email this morning.
I am sure if I had not gone through the process of contacting the Senator's office, my case would still be pending... I think if you have been pre-adjudicated, it is advisable to contact USCIS via Senator's office as soon as your priority date becomes current.
Good luck to everyone and thanks for what all you guys are doing here.
Friends following is the latest snapshot. KD thanks for pointing out.
EB1 - 1
EB3 ROW - 3
EB2 - I - 5
EB2 ROW - 1
Good to see 1 approval post July 15th, Venki there were people upto Aug 15th who were able to apply in the Jul 2007 fiasco, there are 2.5 such cases in the demand data.
Leo too early to make any hard judgments but EB2 ROW atleast for now is looking week. This bulletin the more important thing for CO is to monitor he counts at the lockbox centers. Yes more approvals coming by also help and lesser indicate a lack of commitment in releasing numbers.
