    Question AOS -Medical condition

    Dear Members,
I am cleared for Medical tests. My spouse is tested positive for skin ppd test. She is also pregnant ,so X-ray is not possible. Under this condition what are my options ?
Should I wait for until she delivers and then apply for AOS if dates are current that time?
Or apply with current medical forms with whatever reason/ condition mentioned by doctor. If I apply how does USCIS treat the case. Will the reject whole AOS application or send for RFE for post delivery medical report ?

Please give suggestions. Thanks for your time and attention.

I think pregnant women are eligible for exemption from medical tests. They can take the tests later on after pregnancy. But their 485 will not be adjudicated until medical tests are clear.

I'd suggest to get a letter from your wife's primary physician/gynac stating that she's pregnant and can not take the tests during this time.
Give this letter to the USCIS surgeon who's preparing your medical reports.

Chest X-ray can be done in pregnant ladies by having a fetal / abdominal plate. The radiation from 1 single x-ray taken this way does not expose fetus to any significant radiation. There are multiple papers about that. Sometimes people had to get CT scans while being pregnant and a single CT scan is known to give you radiation of at least 200 to 300 Chest x-rays and that is somewhat of a bigger deal. People get much more radiation just by being out of their homes and sometimes in their homes as well because of radiation from other sources. Anyways it is up to the mother to decide.
