    Receipt Notices of Applications

USCIS to Mail Receipt and Approval Notices Directly to Applicants and Petitioners

Andher nagri chaupat raja. Wonder why they doing this. Lawyers should definitely be getting all this. They maintain a file for us with all this, they pay personal attention to this. Employers get a gamut of junk in which this can be lost for precious days. I am glad that at least 485 is directly us.

this looks like a +ve step Nishant. This way the H1 approval will come directly to the applicant.

That's not clear. They say address specified by applicant or peteioner. I hope its what you say. However looking at fact that H1 or 140 etc are considered owned by employer, I am leaning towards petetioner's address.

H1 approval will be received by the employer with a courtesy copy to the attorney.

    If we look closely...

if we look closely on our applications. Attorney's always fill in their address in place of where to send docs...

Unless your attorney makes a change, it may not benefit you personally.

So did you receive all three receipts for 131, 485 and 765?

    Nishant Guru,

My employer sent packet on 12/8 and it was received on 12/9.

My employer is a fortune 500 cmp and has paid for all the GC expenses. They didn't ask me to submit enotification form (They wouldn't accept if I sent the form anyways).

Now my question is who gets the Reciepts? Me OR Employer?

    Thanks!

You will receive them...you lawyer might as well as I have seen someone mentioning both got the receipts.
My lawyer didn't get a copy I think because he asked me for the receipt numbers.

It depends on whether G28 form notice to appear as attorney for you is filed by lawyer or not. It should definitely be filed otherwise what's the point of having lawyer. So you both will get the notices.

I forgot to put this particular form, but later on found about it, and hence put this post here for help of all.

    Hi Nishant,

My EB2 case was recd on Dec 7th and I have recd hard copies of the SRC numbers for 485, AP and EAD. I have even got the FP notice (again hard copy) on 21st Dec and FP is scheduled for jan 4th.

But still i am unable to add my case numbers online on the USCIS site. I am trying to create a portfolio of the 3 #s but am getting the message "case cannot be recognized". Its been almost 3 weeks I have got my receipts. I called up USCIS and they told me there are some flaws in the system because of which I am unable to check the status inline. Though my case is very much in there system.

Has anyone experience this? Anything that can be done?

3 weeks is quite long. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do except call USCIS again and ask when it can be solved, so that you can get alerts on email and phone. Ultimately always the cases do show up.

    Hi Nishant,
quick question on G-1145 form, do we get email or text whenever there is any soft LUD on the case or we get message only for approval or RFE kind of hard LUDs.

    I-485 receipt notice not received

We filed I-485 for me & spouse together with I-131 & I-765. My spouse got all 3 receipt notices and I got the receipt notices only for I-131 & I-765. Its been more than 10 days and still yet to received my I-485 receipt notice. What are the next steps for me if I do not receive the notice?

I had exactly the same case as you. For me the I485 receipt was not received. All numbers are sequential though. I called up the USCIS 1800 number they created a SR and said that I would hear back in 15 days. After 15 days got a letter to expect a response in 60 - 75 days, still waiting for this receipt they did confirm the number to me and the same is on the FP notice as well.

One of my friend had a similar situation. The problem was with the address (it had the wrong apt#). Instead of Apt 919 it was delivered to 119 but luckily a desi lived there who found this guy and delivered the receipt.

It is quite possible that the attorney or whoever completed that application fat fingered a wrong apt# in the application itself.

    I-485 receipt notice not received

Thanks Teddy. I called the USCIS , they told me to wait until 30 days for the receipt notice, then call them back. Have you waited for 30days to call?

The attorney would usually receive a copy of the notices too. Can you check with him?
