EB2-3 Predictions (Rather Calculations) 2015-2020

This absolutely does not make sense and is wrong IMHO.
Every job is evaluated on its own merit, and porting of priority date does not have anything to do with job descriptions.

The Job matching is required only during I-485J as the new employer is not going through the PERM and I-140 again for the job but basically stating that old perm and I-140 should be still valid.

That's what I understood. But discussions here confused me a bit.

In my case, I was not able to file I-485 in Oct, because the perm from my new employer was not approved.

Even after waiting for more than a quarter of my life. I decided not to go back to old employer because I left that place for right reasons (career growth). I am not sure if I made the correct decision. If I had gone back, by now, I could have atleast be in TriShanku Swarga .

I will have to make another decision on EB2 or EB3 (hopefully soon.) I want to do that one right.

I get you, I was exactly in the same position last oct 2020, but lady luck smiled on me , my PERM for the new employment got approved in Sept 2020 , and I was able to apply I-140 and I-485 concurrently in Oct 2020.I also had an option to file in EB2 or EB3 as PERM job description and my qualifications support an EB2 application, and For what's it worth, I have opted for EB3 . We will soon know if my decision made sense, as I could have got the Trishangu status in either category.

Does anyone know how USCIS processes EAD/AP cases filed separately after i-485 filing?

Filed my AOS application in early November last year and EAD/AP around end of Jan after getting the AOS receipt notice. Got the EAD/AP application receipts last week (starting with IOE and NBC as processing location). I got my Biometrics appointment scheduled in next couple of weeks and the appointment letter only shows i-485.

Little fuzzy on how they'll apply biometrics for EAD/AP (if at all required). Not sure if I am looking at any additional delays in EAD/AP approvals

Congratulations on getting EAD. Hopefully we will be celebrating getting a better card soon .

Your date is current. You should get it in next 2-3 months.
