Ace - work is indeed workship. But not all workplaces are temples. Just think about it. If you remain too much attached to any one employer it will hurt you. Mark my words on this.

In any unjust corrupt system there is a tiny beneficiary class that will always push the narrative of loyalty, god-religion-country-army etc etc. But if you were to cut slack to, you should always cut slack to the people for what is a country or organization or company without its people.

There is a reason why the Indian outsourcing employees rarely if at all complain. WITCH is an inalienable part of the systemic slavery that H1B and GC has become. People are afraid they will lose their jobs, their careers, their American Dream. Its just like women's rape statistic from India. We think rapes don't happen because they are not reported (so much for International women's day!).

This got too serious too quickly! Thus moved to a new thread.
During 90?s I had a morning walk partner was around 56 but very healthy and can pass of as a 40 year old. He joined the company immediately after graduation and he had about 35 years experience in the same company.

The company was in sick state for a while and he was expecting to retire at 58 in about 2 years. The company gave him the full salary for 2 years till his retirement and retrenched him. However he was so bitter that he was not given an opportunity to gracefully retire and was literally bad mouthing every body in the company and how they cheated him. He told me there is no brand loyalty and he was very bitter.

Long story short, I saw him 3-4 years after that, I saw a very old man way older than 60 years who turned pretty much introverted. The anger, the bitterness at the belief the company where he worked for 35 years cheated him of a graceful retirement ate him from inside resulting in loss of his health.

So I agree when you said the transactional side of a company, but carrying a grudge after a while, your health will get impacted.

Any place I work is my temple as I treat any monetary compensation as Dhanlakshmi. If I left that place, all it means that place did not suit me, there are many others working there to make an honest living. You can call it my quirk or whatever, but I find it very difficult to blame an organization.

However when it comes to people who destroyed Kingfisher, Satyam(it could transform inspite of having fraud owner) I have no sympathy for those.

I think you are just arguing for argument's sake Ace. Nobody is advising destroying anybody. But people should have a right to speak when they feel discriminated or underpaid or treated unfairly. That's all.

As I said WITCH have a grip over their H1B population and exploitation is rampant. I am amazed you talk all these lofty things but don't seem to think that WITCH are exploitative in nature.

Since I?m a equal opportunity non-believer, I don?t consider any of my work places as temples, mosques, churches or gurdwaras and do not regard money as any kind of Lakshmi or goddess. Therefore, I take full liberty in dissing companies where I have been taken advantage of. No offense to believers of such. To each, their own. May you faith light and lead your way. My cynicism absolutely includes Indian origin companies such as TCS where I worked as well as American firms that worked me to the bone such as the All American General Motors. This is not slander. This can be considered the worthless opinion of a disgruntled employee.
