    Official PERM Certifications For FY2020 Quarter 2

    OFLC as finally released the PERM figures for Q1 & Q2 FY2020

    Up to FY2020 Quarter 2 there were:

    Certifications -- 31,177 (15.70% less than FY2019)
    Denied ----------- 1,917 (26.44% less than FY2019)
    Withdrawn -------- 1,735 (3.18% less than FY2019)

    Processed ------- 34,829 (15.84% less than FY2019)


    PERM Received --- 60,197 (16.05% more than FY2019)


    Backlog increased by 24,788 from 34,677 at the end of FY2019 to 59,465 (71.48% increase) at the end of FY2020 Q2.

    Just look at that demand .... 10 times visa available for India for 2020 alone. This is completely unsustainable.

    Thanks for updating the numbers Spec and Q for your help as always!!

    Looking at the FY 2020 Perm approval trend it's lower than 2019. I believe going the same speed the total Perm approval for FY2020 would be around 70K or even lower due to COVID

    I think the lower actual number of certifications is just a function of the reduction in number of cases processed so far in FY2020 (15.84% less) compared to the same period in FY2019.

    Had OFLC processed the same number in FY2020 as the same period in FY2019, then the Certified numbers would have been very similar.

    As it is, we now have a backlog that has risen over 70% compared to that at the end of FY2019.

    It remains to be seen how severe the effect of Covid-19 will be on future processing. It's unlikely to increase in pace.

    Hi Spec, could this lead to spill over from RoW to EB2 and EB3?
