PERM Data Updated with Q1 FY2016 Figures from OFLC

I have updated the PERM Data with the data recently released by OFLC.

As a side note, there were 24,013 certifications in Q1 (Oct-Dec 2015). To date in Q2 (Jan 2016 to Feb 24 2016), there have been a further 20,085 certifications. These are not included in the updated figures. That brings total certifications for just under 5 months of FY2016 to 44,098. For reference, there were 78,938 certifications in FY2015.

    Agreed.

I think OFLC have started a backlog reduction exercise. At the end of FY2015, there were nearly 60k pending applications and it had been higher previously.

The lastime a backlog reduction took place was from a high of 67k in FY2009. That reduced to 30k in FY2010 and further to 20k in FY2011. Since then, it has been increasing (particularly in FY2013) until recently.

Here's the updated volume charts for PERM certifications:

    All Average.jpg

    India Average.jpg

    ROW Average.jpg

As usual for me, ROW does not include Mexico and Philippines.

Sometimes makes me wonder even if quota system by removed still there would be substantial backlogs for EB-I ( not as bad as today...but still sizable)

Thanks for the PERM stats Spec. On a side note what do you think about the recently released I 485 Inventory. I think there will a number of people waiting for your point of view and projection.

    Thanks
