H1B Validity on transfer with i140 approved

My current H1b expires on July 2017, which will also be the end of sixth year. I have an i140 approved through my current employer. I am changing jobs, and I am wondering what will be the expiration of my new H1b 797 document. Will it be only till July 2017 or will it be for 3 years since date of filing (Dec 2015 + 3 years).

It should be 3 years from date of application (Dec 2015 + 3 years).
