Relocating on I485 Pending

Hello All,

My and wife's 485 is pending application file dates back to 10 March 2015 EB3ROW. I am planning to relocate from IL to TX while on the same job.roles etc nothing changes. Is it ok to relocate of there can be any complications? any help would be appreciated.

My 2 cents ...

Your PERM and 140 is valid only for a certain location and role. So it won't work in TX. However you can leverage AC21 and take up the new role.
You can do 6 months since filing of 485 AND after 140 is approved.

Roles stays the same with the company i am just changing location and my 180 since i485 complete in 20 days. my i140 was approved over a year ago in may2014.so if my 180 complete can i move or that would need another i40?

You can start running now and reach in 20 days in TX and then start drawing salary!!

I am not a lawyer - but my own manager resisted me moving to another location siting this as the reason.

In your case - it looks like you are good to go in 20 days. Good luck once again.
