dependent employment based green card out of usa limit

Hi Friends,
Please share your knowledge on how much time a dependent or secondary person with GC under employment based quota can stay outside of USA without jeopardizing GC status.
Also this will be the first visit after GC approval and I remember a old thread about not to give your I-94 during departure to avoid any unnecessary problems. Can't find that thread.

The guidance is that you should be living in US for most period of time in a year. So that gives a person 364 days max to live outside US because someone can argue - he/she lived under 6 months last year and now returning to US to live majority of this year.

One of my friend's mom was reprimanded for staying too long outside US every year ... (although she was technically living here majority of the time).

So she is going to become a citizen to avoid these problems in future.
