    Lightbulb राहिले ओठातल्या ओठात वेडे शब्द माझे

    Poet - Va. Ra. Kant
    Composition - Pu. La. Deshpande
    Singer - Vasantrao Deshpande
    Raag - Janasanmohini
    Language - Marathi

    Loosely translated ..

    राहिले ओठातल्या ओठात वेडे शब्द माझे (My words were left unspoken)
    भेट होती आपुली ती ती खरे की स्वप्न माझे (Did we really meet or was that a dream)

कापरे हात हाती बावरे डोळ्यात आसू (holding our shaky hands and looking into your teary eyes)
आग पाण्यातून पेटे जाळणारे गोड हासू (your smile could put water on fire)
दोन थेंबाच्या क्षणाचे प्रीतीचे तकदीर माझे (but alas .. my luck of love was as short lived as those two tear drops of yours)

    गर्द हिरवे पाच पाणी रक्त कमले कुंकुमाची (the lake was dark green with bright red lotuses)
खेळताना बिंबलेली शुभ्र जोडी तारकांची (the sky was dark with two bright stars playing with each other)
    आजवेळ म्हटलेस ना तू हे हवेसे विश्व माझे (but .. you didn't say that this is the life you want)

    मी म्हणू कैसे फुल रे आज तू नाहीस येथे (oh my dear flower how much I miss you)
    वेल दारी सायलीची रोज अजुनी बहार देते (the vine of "sayali" still blossoms in my front yard)
लाख पुष्पे तोडिल्याविण ये भरोनि पात्र माझे (my hands become full of flowers without trying to pluck them)

    शिंच्या आता या कवितेचे रसग्रहण कर पाहू! (Translation: I don't know how to translate this..."explain the poem's soul" is somewhat like it).

Just kidding, a joke on how my childhood teachers used to take the fun out of beautiful poems by asking us this ridiculous question! I actually appeared in a statewide competition on the same!

Nice poem though...and I won't take the fun out of it anymore
