  1. #26
    Hi @go4sandee,

I am in exact same situation where I140 is approved. I am currently in India planning to apply F1 in October 2018. My wife is US studying in F1. Please email me at sudhakar8605@gmail.com if possible.

    Hi,

Did you disclose or answer yes for this question.. Had anyone applied immigration petition on your behalf?

How did you convince the visa officer that you do not have immigration intent.

Hi go4sandee, I will face the same issue. Did you go back to your country to get your F1 or you filed for a COS? Thanks!

Last year, I got my status changed from H1 to F1 (I did not request my I-140 to be cancelled while changing my status to F1). I am planning to visit India this December and get my F1 visa stamped. Now the DS160 application is asking whether I had ever applied for an immigrant visa. I was wondering if I should tell the truth, or if I can hide it and just say 'No'. If I am telling the truth, what can I write in the box for explaining the situation? Can I just say that I changed my mind during the insanely long time it takes to get a green card? Will that affect my i-140 application?

Please let me know you thoughts. Thanks in advance.
    Hello,

    My 6 year H1B expired. I have I140 approved, and I recently got 3 year H1B extension.
I am applying to school for full time programs. What would be the best way to go from H1B to F1?
Will it be an issue in change of status?
Can we start the program while the change of status is pending, since it takes 11 to 12 months?
Do we have to mention about I140 status while applying for Change of Status?

Thanks for posting the result of your case. It?s been a real long time, but your post helps me. I?m in the same boat now. Did you go for F1 stamping and get you visa or was it the change of status from H1 to F1 that got approved?
