    Documentation needed for naturalization

I know it is early as there still is 5 years to go, but I am looking for info if we need to submit USCIS paperwork / 797 notices etc. regarding prior F & H1B statuses during time of naturalization?

Quick googling seems to show they are NOT needed and I would really have liked to dump much of the USCIS paperwork we have accumulated from the last 14 years here.

Anybody with experience or info? Thanks!

Thanks. Useful info as it gives me a sense of how people approach this. It probably makes sense after all this effort to be safe than sorry when the time comes.

I could still junk all the various photocopies that exist and just keep the important originals. And, scan them all anyway to keep digital copies.

Would be interesting to hear from people who have naturalized in the EB2 category if these ever get asked.

    Hi Q,
After following the EB2-3 calculations actively in 2012 and not that actively later, I m returning to this forum to plan applying for citizenship. Have you started the process, if I am not wrong you too got your GC in the 2012 wave or just prior to that.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum for asking this.

Pdmar - your memory is correct. I will be eligible to file next month I believe.

The benefits of a citizenship are significant but the loss of Indian passport is agonizing for me and so frankly I am not quite looking forward to becoming a citizen. However my spouse may become citizen and so we can keep in touch to check and compare notes.
