    Lightbulb H1 Question

    Friends - I had posted the below question as a separate thread a few days ago but I am posting it here now for better visibility. I will delete it as soon as I get a response or two.

    Job Location Change with the Same Employer with pending 485/Approved EAD -

    Hello All,

    My PD is EB2I - April 2009. Managed to get my foot in the door when the dates moved to 2010 couple years ago. I have had EAD/AP since April 2012 and have renewed it once already (I am still maintaining my H1B status though). I am still with the same employer that filed for my EB2 application back in 09. I am now contemplating moving to a different work location in another state but with this same employer. I am under the impression that this will not be an issue since I have passed the "180 day" threshold long time back . Are there any roadblocks that I should be aware of before making this move? I already have a question out to my attorney office on this but they are taking forever to respond Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    @enigma

    You are good, Are you planning to relocate or telecommute. If you plant to relocate fill the AR11 form.

    Thanks for your feedback Sairam. I am planning to relocate and work from our office in Texas. Yes - I will certainly fill out the AR11 form shortly after the move.

    Enigma,

    I assume you will continue working on H1B in which case you may have to do a new LCA and H1B amendment...If you plan to work on EAD then this is not required!!

    Get confirmation from Attorney...All the Best!!!

    As Venkat mentioned if H1 the rules will stand Firm and if its EAD then the case is different. Plz consult your Attorney for that matter.

    Thanks for your inputs guys. I am under the same impression with respect to filing amendment for H1B. So it's reassuring that we are on the same page. Still waiting for my attorney's feedback. Will update this thread once I hear back from the firm.
