    btw, as you all must have read by now, a Dec NSC filer got approved, he is going to call USCIS today for final confirmation. If FP done, technically from NSC, you can expect approval anytime. I still think these are fringe cases and do not represent the bulk of cases, but I do also believe that NSC is going to hold true to the 4 month processing time advertised to a quite high degree.

    And houston we have touchdown. kryolife confirms:

    "I called USCIS and checked. It is true that I-485 is approved. The L1 agent could not read anything other than what i already see online. I had to call 3 times to get to the L2 officer. L2 officer confirmed that it is approved. But could not check if card has been ordered. She asked me to wait for some more time for CPO. Don't know how long...

    My information as some ppl are curious:

    Education: MS from US university
    Employment type: fulltime permanent
    H1B Company: US multinational Fortune 500
    No. of employess: 5000+ in North America

    I have been with the same company for last 7 years, got two H1B extensions and never violated any immigration rules. I did have a soft LUD on my I-485 on Jan 26th."

    The huge gap between your NRD (12/19) and your FPND (2/1)would indicate that their claim might be true. Since you never received the FP Notice, is it possible they have the wrong address? Where did your EAD card ship to? You or the lawyer? Also, where did your initial notices go? To you or to your lawyer?

    It might be a case of simple loss in the mail. I read somewhere that while mail theft/loss is a very low % (<< 1%), but given the sheer volumes that the USPS deals with it's still several 100,000s per year. In any case, to eliminate inadvertent trashing/shredding of important emails, I'd thought about confiscated the mail box keys from my wife and parents (who live with me), and monitoring it by myself. Seemed a little extreme, so I dropped the idea.

    It's important to note this, because he is first Dec filer on trackitt from EB2I who has got approval. His PD is in Jan 25 2008.

    Hmm..Notices went to me and the lawyer..Happened on the same day..
    EAD/AP cards and the approval notices reached me..
    FP notice was sent to my lawyer and me..My attorney alerted on the FP..So I checked my mail..there it was..
    So it seems like my attorney and me lost the first FP notice..Strange coincidence indeed...

    my EAD status is "Card production ordered" and my I131 says approved.
    You are right - its a combo card and you should get it together. for 485 - as rockybaba said, we are at the mercy of the mood swings of customer service

    Hey everyone, a couple of questions I've been meaning to ask:

    1) Do EB1 I-485s get preference over EB2 I-485s?

    2) A personal question - about a month after filing my application, my lawyer sent an amended EVL (earlier, he put the wrong wage number that I will get after GC approval). Any idea whether this might delay processing? In other words, if you send an amendment, what happens to your file?

    Facts/opinions/speculation welcome

    I just got a email / text now on the EAD receipt number that USPS delivered the EAD card on 03-JAN-2012. Not sure why we are getting these updates after a month.

    Ok guys, just talked to FBI, and they obtained my and wife's fingerprints same day on 2/2/2012 and processed and sent to immigration same day on 2/2/2012.

    the person was very nice, and there is no need to feel nervous as I was originally feeling.

    Sogaddu bhai maybe they are trying to be sure that we got the EAD card as we (TSC) may need the EAD cad for a while! Looks like many got these alerts. For a moment I thought it’s the 485. Hoping for the best.
