I did not do any thing special. I was like you and gchopeful123 waiting for it ever single day. I just prayed . I am sure you guys should receive it this week. Keep me posted. My best wishes

I live in Boston area too but my 485 was sent to Texas service center.

Hi FamilyGuy - Yes i live in MA. My consulting firm is at MI and my i140 was approved from NSC. My package was sent to Texas lock box and was routed to NSC for my receipt and FP for 485/EAD/AP.

Looking at the USCIS fees details page, it seems the biometrics fee applies only for I-485 and AP. Not sure, but this may be the reason why some ppl receive EAD before FP.

Waaav..just saw an EAD approval from a NOVEMBER filer in trackitt.
He did not even completed FP( from NSC). So gchopeful, you shouldn't be concerned too much about FP notice delay.

I am glad to see EAD approval in 35 days.

Hi All,

Quick Question. I became current in November and my 140(amended as company changed) and 485 have been filed together. 140 has been filed without premium processing and my understanding is first 140 will get approved and then they will look at the 485 application.

I am not sure if both the processes run parallel. Please suggest.

an update... got my FP done 10 days early... original appointment 12/15/11 NJ... Went in after lunch and it was almost empty, was sent to the supervisor as today is not my appointment date. Supervisor granted permission without any questions (wrote on the reciept todays date) and got the FP's done for both wife and me...

Questions...

1. What happens after FP?
2. How many days does FBI name check and FP check take?
3. Once the above checks are done, am i preadjucated?

Ok..i got it..I was looking at the field office address. Should have been specifically searching for the ASC address. Mine will be Elizabeth too i think. You mentioned you are not from that place. I am neither and trust me, we never want to be near that place...except for this...

I have noticed NSC is super slow at sending receipts and other communications, but super duper fast at giving EAD's etc... exactly vice versa for TSC :-( ....

Adding to it, if your name is carried by some other person in usa ( same first and last name), it gets delayed by few days and if the person with your name has criminal history, then investigation can take more than 1 or 2 months.

I believe you are quoting from trackiit. It is good to see EAD / AP Approval coming in so fast, but looks like the average is around 65 days (based on trackiit) and this might be a rare occurrence.

TSC was fast with notices and FP appointments,NSC is fast with EAD/AP.Hope TSC is fast with GC's

A quick look at trackitt.....October filers are reporting an average of 60 days for TSC for EAD/AP.

NSC is fast on EAD/AP while TSC is fast on FP. But i think both will converge on the GC times.
