Guys, want to share the good news with all the excellent ppl here. Got my 485 approval email/sms on leap day(Feb 29th)! I was too surprised that I decided to wait for the USPS sent mail too, which I got today....

I am totally ecstatic now !!, finally got GC card production order email for me an my wife.....I cant express my feelings, by god's grace I made it after 8 years
first in a vendor company for 3 years worrying when they will send me back to India, then caught up in 2008 recession for 2.5 months with no contract in sight, then travelling 125 miles when my wife was pregnant, then later on anxious along with Nishant hoping to be current and now finally a GC.....
I moved to Q's forum from I V a year ago and have a lot of peace in my mind here, seriously its nice to be in midst of great folks here
Special thanks to Q, Teddy, Spectator, Nishant (for been my stress buster), soggadu the positive guy,kanmani and lots of others!!!

Hi All, I got mail today at around 6:15pm Central with approval of EAD card status showing "Card/ Document Production". Looks like TSC was busy even on a Satruday so late in the evening. I can now travel without going thro the Visa stamping hassle. Thanks to all on this forum sharing information, helping others with advises (especially Gurus like Teddy, Saggadu, etc.).

Quick question that's probably been answered before somewhere - do you need FP done for EAD? The FP notice says 485 and EAD but I think I've seen EAD approvals without FP too.
Whats the story?
