You will get some more texts/emails in a day or two mentioning that it is being mailed thru USPS and that USPS has picked up. You may call L2 at that point. But I wud suggest to just relax as once you get the USPS pick up text/email the card will be in your mailbox in 2 or 3 days max. The last text/email is when USPS confirms delivery to USCIS.

USCIS needs to be commended for streamlining the whole process. They have become super proactive with all the case tracking.

Friends- As you know i got CPO email/SMS yesterday and evening i got Decision email/sms and again mid-night it went to CPO email/sms. I called L2 today to get USPS tracking number and she said the card is not been sent to print yet

questions:- Do we get any SMS/EMail once Card is sent to print or Any SMS/EMAIL after its picked by USPS. Please let me know should i call L2 again or what is the process?

If you read the posts in the last few pages you will find the details. In summary most of the Feb filers are not able to search their receipt # in USCIS website. We think there is a delay in enabling the receipt #. We also found that this delay is not affecting the FP or EAD.

It is normal to take a few weeks for receipts to become active for some of the recent filers. I heard from my attorney that there is a glitch somewhere in the USCIS systems and they have acknowledged the same. My own receipts are still not active yet - been almost 3 weeks since I got them.

Very interesting..I wish some Operational Excellence gurus looked at this situation, work closely with USCIS... kanban /kaizen could definitely be used in such a scenario..

Hello Friends,

My husband got his I 485 approval mail yesterday followed by card production ordered email. With 2 hrs of the card production ordered email we got another email saying they had sent an email on 29th feb requesting for additional information(RFE) i have been also tracking the status on the USCIS case status...which went from decision to card production and then to RFE...I have never heard of anything like this...is this normal?? can the gurus throw some light on this....I am his dependent and was waiting for my I 485 approval....kept checking my husband's inbox just to get this disappointing mail :-(((

That seems to be the general trend and I am one of the Feb filers with an inactive receipt number. So far atleast I have seen only one person on this forum who has a Feb receipt and is able to check the status using the receipt number and even in his case the status tracker started working only recently. There might be a significant number of Jan filers too with the same situation; I personally know a colleague who filed in Jan but cannot check his status.

Good that you got the FP notice. I called the USCIS yesterday, Talked to L2 officer and they are yet to schedule the FP...

Best you can do at this point is call them up and ask them whats going on citing the 2 emails in sequence and let them do most of the talking. The only other option is to wait for the snail mail to arrive and find out then what has happened. With the former, there would atleast be a head start to speak to yoru attorney and plan out the future course. Most cases have mninor RFE's which can easily be responded to and then the adjudication is completed within a couple of weeks. Wish you all the best and hope that this gets resolved for you guys.

Called customer server on Monday (27th) to find if card is produced/mailed, L2 officer said that they dont have information that My Case is "APPROVED", but said that email I got is true but their system is not yet updated.

Any body face similar situation/heard? I know I am fine but still cannot wait until we receive our cards

its normal. eventually in 2-3 days you will get card mailed, usps picked up etc. after usps picked up status, only then next day, the IO can provide you tracking number.

A valid reason to panic....but by now I believe you have settled a bit, I am pretty sure this RFE is petty and should be resovled within few days. Good luck.

I called USCIS customer service with regards to my I-485 and got transferred to a second level processing ( Dunno if it would mean an L2 exactly ) . The agent said he could not see my FBI and name check records even though it has been a month. I got worried and called the FBI number that was shared in this thread sometime ago and they informed me the check went okay and were sent out on the same day to the processing centre.

Dunno what the issue is....Even if the name check was holding up things , the agent should have been able to view the FBI fingerprinting stuff. Weird.

The guy I spoke to was not exactly friendly and I am not sure if he is the guy always responsible for my file. I told him that all I needed was if the FBI check and name check went through okay. He looked it up in the system and said he cannot see both of them . Whereas when I spoke with FBI they said the fingerprinting stuff was sent on same day ,was legible and okay.

I am not sure if the lower level officer would hold off putting in the FBI check untill the name check arrives, not sure too many variables.

Either way it lets me know not to expect much and just wait patiently untill April/May. The guy specifically told me he cannot open an service request since it is TSC untill May.
