    Thanks stemcell,

I hope eb2_dec07 gets soon, as for me I barely feel any anxiety anymore and even detached to the idea of getting GC ( strangely), Q' site has turned into a "chat room" for me. I hope some of you guys ( who got approved) will chime in once in a while as we ( as immigrants) are a unique bunch .

Not sure if you understood or get the reference.

I will be really sad when you get yours and don't visit the forum anymore.
Q, I think not everyone will leave the forum but not sure how much they will be contributing. I got my GC in Feb 2012 but still check the forum almost everyday though I don't login. It is kind of like an addiction but a healthier one.

I really feel happy for so many who missed the boat in 2012 and are getting their GCs now. Congrats and good luck to everyone who is getting the GC and who became current from Sep!

That's so nice to hear mysati that you got yours 18 months back and yet keep visiting. Wow! I wish that someday we all perhaps could form a think tank or something that could contribute positive to the society here or back home.

Q, didn't Spec get his in late 2011, early 2012 about the same time the rest of you Gurus got your GCs. I can swear i saw a post from him saying as much. Out with the truth Spec.

Pedro, don't forget he is a "Spectator". I don't think he is (or was) in the GC race. We are just lucky that he exists and helps us all. He is absolutely unmatched in the prediction and calculation game besides all the legal aspects. We should give him the privacy he likes to maintain.

    In a lighter vein...
    Spec is Charles Oppenheim himself...

I agree, it's the least we can do for him.

    LOL.

I should have done better with my prediction then!

The politics of the VO aside, I think it could be an interesting place to work if you like number crunching and for the insight on the process it would give.

PS:- Although it's not totally unknown for the Demand Data to be published after the VB, it seems likely we won't see it again this month. If so, it will be the first time ever that 2 consecutive DD have not been published.

I140 status changed to initial review

Yesterday I got update about address changes on 485 application. Status for wife changed from response review to initial review.

Today I checked closely and my 140 application has also gone to Initial review saying name changed.

I am hoping this is because I switched from my EB3 Primary to spouse EB2 primary.

So since i am derivative now , is that why my 140 could have gone to Initial review? Any inputs?

Also taking this opportunity to share that my I-485 got approved today. Thank you everybody for sharing valuable thoughts, and making the long journey a little easier.

    Cheers!!

Congratulations MATT!!! Hope you continue contributing to this forum and trackitt - I see a lot of folks counting on your contributions on both these forums.

Your 140 (an EB3 one) is independent of your spouse's EB2 which has its own 140. So may be it's just a coincidence.

I second mysati on this! I do miss soggadu & co, but the main reason I keep checking back is to hear the good news from other friends who are still waiting.

I had the same update on my I-140, changed to Initial review with a name update message and my 485 got changed to Initial review with address change message. Not really sure why an approved 140 moved to Initial review. Its a straight EB2 and changed jobs/employer on EAD.
I got the RFE on June 14th for EVL, replied to RFE along with AC21 and G28 for new attorney representing my case. I believe address change on 485 was because of the G 28 with new attorney details and his address?
Appreciate any thoughts on my I-140 update.

There is a thread on trackitt singing a paean to Matt. You sure have helped a bunch of guys there, dude, and I firmly believe that those good wishes come to bear at some point. The fact that you got your approval email the same day thousands of your well-wishers got current may not be a coincidence.

In case anyone should think that there has been another PD2008 EB2-I approval on Trackitt, there has not.

User adshere, who shows Indian chargeability, is actually using cross-chargeabilty from his wife.

I am in a similar situation. my wife is from Pakistan
Actually, she is a Canadian citizen, born in Pakistan.

I am EB2 India and my 485 is already filed. I am going to get married to Canadian Citizen, her country of birth is Pakistan.

Any Action Plan for September 2013 current EB2I cases

    Need Advise from Gurus.

With the date moved forward to Jun 15 2008 and we know there will be some left over EB2I cases. Is there a way we can take some proactive action from our side. I am thinking the following :

    1. Create SR on September 4th 2013(Give them a day or two)
    2. Contact Senator or Congressman before September 10th 2013 (Wait for first Full business week after Long week end)
    3. Talk to L2 officer before September 10th 2013 again about the SR status
    4. Make an INFOPASS appointment and talk to IO
    5. Watch for October Bulletin for any signs of retrogression in the near future

All these things are throwing some stones in the dark, we never know. No body want to be left over this time.

What is the possibility people with no RFEs getting approved faster. When you see August 2013 Approvals I see more people with RFEs got approved first, reason being when they received the RFE response. IO approved the case right away if the response is satisfactory. What about the cases with no RFE. It's all luck when the case gets assigned to the officer.
