Lightbulb Submitting Originals vs Copies with 485

Hello guys, a quick question. My lawyer said he does not need my birth certificate affidavits in originals to file I485, copies suffice. Is that true? Do you guys remember whether did you submit affidavits in originals or just copies?

Vkk - my recollection is yes copies suffice. No originals.

    vkkpnm,

I enquired with my attorney and they said they would require original copies of affidavits. And they asked me to send it along with medicals. My case is dealt by tier-1 law firm. Q should be correct too, based on his experience in this world for so long. I guess, either way it should be good. Because all you need is information you are providing is correct.

NOV2007 - thanks. That's what I meant. It was only my experience. BTW my lawyer too was Fragomen. And I think they asked me to send the originals to them but they always retained originals with them and sent only copies to USCIS to my best knowledge.

I've submitted only copies. Our legal department never asked any originals.
