My company aquired by another company

Hi gurus,

My 140 has been approved recently.
PD is Mar 1st 2012
I am in 4th year of H1B
Recently my company(200+) has bee acquired by a bigger company(1000+).

My questions:
1) what can happen to my h1 status?
2) what can happen to my GC process

kindly please advice me.

ImmiGiveMe, welcome to forum. I think your H1 should continue as is. And so would the GC Process. I know that for GC there has to be some change of ownership form that your company lawyers will have to fill. For H1 I am not sure.

We are with Company A, our Labor and I-140 is approved and now i have H1b extension this year. Now company B will takeover or merge company B but they still have not decided that i will be with company A or B.
My extension is in October and from last 20 days they are not clearly telling me how to proceed or what to do and when to do.
They told me(b4 20 days) that if i will transfer to company B, 1)i have to re-apply for either i-140 or labor and i-140 (2) h1b transfer to company B. But after that they are only hanging on me.

What are my best options? I am worried about my H1b extension.
What if i change to some reliable company C.
