I feel incredibly blessed for receiving tons of wishes and friendship from this blog. Trust me, cherish this blog/forum as dearly as the GC received today. So I won't be going anywhere. However as some of you have rightly said, it is time to change things a bit and push a reset button and rearrange things. So will discuss with other Gurus how to best do this.

I do feel quite passionate about our mission and the mission stays the same. Some of the ideas propped up in the morning are seriously good. May be we should seriously think about having a good formal link with CO's office. I am sure we can give it a serious try.

Meanwhile here is the chronology that some of you may find useful:

Aug 3 (Wed) - Wrote a letter to senior senator from the state.
Aug 8 (Mon) - Case was approved (but I didn't know)
Aug 9 (Tue) - USCIS mailed me decision (but I didn't know)
Aug 10 (Wed) 10:00 am - Opened an SR. Learned Case is approved on Monday
Aug 10 (Wed) 12:30 pm - Received email as well as online status updated to "Decision". Waiting for cards in the mail.

My best wishes and heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for standing for yourself AND for each other on this forum!! All the best!!

    Q,
Congrats. The work that you (and others too) have done on this blog is great. This blog has brought all of us together and though we dont know each other in person feels like we know each other well. And most important its very sane which is a testament to you and other gurus. Sit back for a moment and reflect on all the years, or go to the nearest border crossing and make the first U turn aross the border and come back....just for kicks.

I had a question/suggestion, can we have a separate thread that will help people with things to prepare for filing I485. I can find resources that will provide list of documents and all somewhere on the internet or from mylawyer but my concern is around getting medical records etc. I talked to my friend and he suggested i get all my medical records and have them handy along with vaccination records. Now i m not sure if my parents or I have these and what do others do.
Since we have a forum here of people who have recently gone thru the same(or may be not recently back in 2007) or would be going thru it now it might help others. My time is still far away. But i feel it might also give a reason for poeple to come back to the blog.
If something like tihs already exists can you point me to the same?

Congratulations, Q and all the best for future endeavors. One silver lining from this long wait during this green card process is it has helped all of us make new friends through web who share common interest about the immigration process. This website has played the perfect role in sharing the knowledge amongst all people who are going through this process. Whatever I have learned about the details of green card procedure, I attribute it to this wondrous blog (and the people participating in this blog).

    2 less.

If it becomes such that 1 less, (don't count dependants), the number of visas available will become more than 300k a year automatically.
