If I am not wrong we can use G-639 form to get information from USCIS. If yes please let me know to which address we need to send this form.

    Thanks in advance.

Nishant, sometimes I just feel plain lucky that people liked objective analysis and then they felt it worthwhile to join hands and actively contribute. Many from the beginning continue to participate. Especially Teddy, who still runs a great thread on IV by the same name and of course is our Guru as well

Great. Congrats to him. I think he can show his H1 while entering. But they can see his GC approved in their system and probably will grant entry based on his 485.

Can he travel on his valid H1B or does he needs to show the Green Card while entering US back.

    Lightbulb Greened!

    Friends,

Received USCIS email that mine and wife's permanent residency was registered!! Finally - after almost 11 years in this country, an MBA and 2 terrific kids!

I feel incredibly blessed for receiving tons of wishes and friendship from this blog. Trust me, cherish this blog/forum as dearly as the GC received today. So I won't be going anywhere. However as some of you have rightly said, it is time to change things a bit and push a reset button and rearrange things. So will discuss with other Gurus how to best do this.

I do feel quite passionate about our mission and the mission stays the same. Some of the ideas propped up in the morning are seriously good. May be we should seriously think about having a good formal link with CO's office. I am sure we can give it a serious try.

Meanwhile here is the chronology that some of you may find useful:

Aug 3 (Wed) - Wrote a letter to senior senator from the state.
Aug 8 (Mon) - Case was approved (but I didn't know)
Aug 9 (Tue) - USCIS mailed me decision (but I didn't know)
Aug 10 (Wed) 10:00 am - Opened an SR. Learned Case is approved on Monday
Aug 10 (Wed) 12:30 pm - Received email as well as online status updated to "Decision". Waiting for cards in the mail.

My best wishes and heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for standing for yourself AND for each other on this forum!! All the best!!

On a lighter vein, my minds eye view of what Q looks like has suddenly become the spitting image of Shrek!

I can't shake it for the moment.

Perhaps that should be his new avatar.
