    Hi Q,
I have been to Frankfurt. The airport has a large business complex attached to it, with offices and hotels. However, these are accessible only after you exit through the immigration section. You would thus need to apply for a German/Schengen visa if you intend to stay at the Sheraton hotel. If you were only transiting via Frankfurt airport, you would have not needed any visa. You may also want to confirm by contacting the hotel directly and/or confirming with the local German consulate nearest to you.

    Regards,

Thank you so much! I guess I will get a tourist visa then! I have a 1 day halt at Frankfurt on way back.. .(not by choice of course ).

    Hi qesehmk,

our Hotel is directly connected with Terminal 1 of Frankfurt International Airport with 2 pedestrian walkways. However you need to exit through the immigration section to come to our hotel. We strongly recommend to contact your embassy.

Please let us know in case of any further questions.

best regards & see you soon!

    Nicole,

Appreciate the information. I can't believe you took the pain to reply! Thanks again. Unfortunately it means I am going to have to obtain a visa. So probably will try to change the ticket rather than get a visa.

    Thanks nonetheless!!
