Kanmani - did I not tell you that TSC is running really fast and 40 days is a good estimate for EAD there. One more item is off your list.

NSC of course is running really slow and I don't expect my EAD to be done for at least 15-20 more days. :-(

You are one of the first few Feb filer to EAD. It will be interesting to see how they approach the low hanging fruit. I am with you and I hope they follow approval based on PD.

Thanks Kanmani, I am looking forward to it so that I can respond to the RFE on my H1. Agree with you on the unfairness of the low hanging fruit theory although it might go in my favor. They should process in the order of the priority date.

Is it possible that it also depends on which ASC you went to do the finger printing? Nobody in our company got it before 2 weeks after FP was done.

Really appreciate your wishes and nice words. Lets see what luck has in store for me 13 has always been my lucky number. Most people getting approved have a RFE response review date (01-Mar) before me this tells me that it will be later this week or even next week for me.

Kanmani,
I got the context and do agree with you for most part. However, the educational and other qualifications notwithstanding, IMO, the PD should be followed with some consistency. I personally think that it is unfair for a person from 2009 to get a GC if there is a person from 2007 still waiting without unreasonable complications or major issues in the application.

EAD/AP card received

Hi guys, Just wanted to let everyone know that I "finally" received my physical EAD/AP combo card. What a relief!! Apparently the card was mailed to my attorney who snail mailed it to me.

PD - 03/04/08, TSC, RD - 01/12, ND - 01/13, EAD approval status online (over 2 weeks ago)

Does one typically get an email in case an of an RFE? What does the online status show in that case? Just curious. My 485 application has stayed on "Initial Review" for a long time now and I'm getting nervous.

FP done today. On the questionnaire to be filled at the time of FP, there was no option "black" for the color of eyes .. they put that as "brown".. lol..
Very professional experience though. Got there 15 mins early and got done in 45 mins (out of which total wait time at several steps was 25 mins).

Online status for spouse EAD was "Approved" and now it is changed to "CPO". But no updates on AP. Has anyone received separate cards for EAD and AP?

Hi Kanmani,

How long did it take for your receipts numbers to appear on the USCIS automated status and to get EAD approved after your FP? Today I got my FP done, so trying to get a rough estimate.

Not entirely true, that. I called USCIS today as my case was not found on Case Status link. They too could not find, so they 'escalated' it to next level. There, they were able to find it (without asking for SRC number, just asked for first name, last name, birthdate and address, but I suspect that my SRC number was passed on when it was escalated).

The USCIS cust rep said "no one can check the status online for some reason" and then also stated that my application shows as "Pending" and I have to wait for it to take its time.

Sorry if my reply was confusing. EAD/AP status got changed last week and had nothing to do with FP.
