Congratulations Gclongwait and Kreddy.g ...Now just sit back and watch the weird workflow emails from USCIS...and penultimate email will be the "Premanent Resident Status Registered......ADIT"...and the last one as Soggadu said, will be the USPS picked up email !!!
since there are a few here getting ready to respond to RFEs, thought I would share this - You have to use USPS to send your RFE Response, FEDEX or UPS do not deliver to P.O. boxes.
When we had to send our responses, we ran frantically to a nearby FEDEX before they closed, only to realize this. So thought I would save someone the pain !
ALL THE VERY BEST
Also, make sure to waive the signature confirmation if mailing by USPS Express Mail. I forgot to do that in my case. USPS left a note to pick up my mail and the following day a person from USCIS picked it up from the post office. I called the local USPS office in Mesquite, TX and they told me to not worry and this is normal for them. USCIS does pick up signature confirmation mails from post office the following day. But to avoid any confusion or delays, better to waive signature confirmation.
While I promptly passed on this advice to the better half, I got careless this morning and cut my finger while making my famous bisibelebath :(. Hopefullly it will heal before FP appointment next wednesday. If not, what would likely happen if i were to show up for the appointment with the still-healing finger?
Wowww........Trackitt has 30+ approvals yesterday.......hope it continues
Gurus and GuGurus ...
I have been a slient visitor to this forum for a long time ... Today i went ahead and created the profile expecting suggestions and answers for my Questions ... I am a Dec filer - NSC - RD - 12/5/2011 | ND - 12/8/2011 | EAD/AP - 1/13/2012 | FP Completed - 1/11/2012 but still waiting for my I-485 ...Recently i started panicking because i have been waiting for more than 95 days and still there is no sign of approval or RFE ... Today i called the USCIS number and got stopped at the L1 level itself ...
Guys - Is there anything i have to do from my side? or just sit tight and pray
Guys ,
Here is my latest status. I filed as dependent using my Primary Spouse receipt. And unfortunately mine went to TSC and spouse was sent to NSC. Anyways, today I received USCIS alert that my case has been transferred to another Service Center, which I gather is NSC where my primary got 485 approved already.
Since I'm a December Filer EB2-I , I have already been in line for over 3 + months . Since it is transferred to NSC now, does it mean the clock on my case starts now and runs its full 4 month processing time . Any idea how this will work. I was really hoping to get approval this month and be able to travel to India end of next month . My attorney says it is common for them to transfer cases between service centers when they have too much work load.
Filed case in Dec 2011 , TSC, Received EAD ; 1st week of Feb ; 485: Case transferred to NSC latest status ??
Guys, got CPO mail some time back.
God has been kind, though i came to the US first in 2002(first because in between i was not here for a few months) and filed in 2008 the trouble i went thru in between pales in comparison with may of the folks on the forum. Yes its was like the end of the world when my PERM was denied and then in audit for 2 years(just not knowing anything was agonizing). There were many uncertainities over last 2-3 years but again, life and god has been kind.
I honestly think my processing got a boost simply by logging on to this forum.
I had originally thought i will send a note to the tune of Aayo re.....aayo re from Swades but it hasnt sunk in and will wait on the celebrations for many others on the forum to get greened.
My only major contribution to the forum has been the doc on post #1 of this thread which has been read by over 100 people( and no, it was not me clicking it again and again) which makes me feel good.
Goodluck all!!
Received my physical GC. In fact it's really green as in dollar bill green :))

Please do share how you celebrated this much awaited event.
dec2007, i am in same situation as you. My PD is Sept'07 and i filed my case in November'07. I work for a Private Equity firm which got acquired by a management consulting firm in Sept'11 and i had to file an 140 amendment as well along with my 485 application. My lawyers are telling me that 140 amendment need to be approved before USCIS can approve 485. Unfortunate part is that USCIS treats 140 amendment as a fresh 140 application in case of Successor of Interest applications. Please share if you gather any other information.
Nishant...nice.
Yeah i really wish i can sit down clamly and have a coffee. But there is a firedrill going on at work.
For kicks i wanted to the canadian border and swing by over the weekend.
At this point i m thinking i dont want to worry any more...not about gc but about work and all....give it my best..go all out.
I remember in 3 idiots Raju says in the interview "darr sir...darr mai darta raha"
i m similar but dont want to be fearful anymore.
Q, mysati, reachme_s, dec2007, Kanmani thank you for your wishes and good luck to those waiting.
About online status check for Feb filers: Based on my random queries, the difference between my receipt number and the receipt number for which record is available has gone down from yesterday's 4K to 800. It seems records are there but available only if EAD/AP has been approved or some action has been taken after FP is done. My FP was completed yesterday, so I hope I will be able to check my record next week.
once again, that place I am talking about, somehow reached my heart. I sat on a nearby hill, overlooking the city and quietly thinking. The words on Brandon Lee's grave, Bruce Lee's son are worth remembering:
"Because we don't know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless..."
Friends,
We have finally received CPO email for my wife as well, bringing my 11 year journey in the USA to fruition.
Surviving the last 5 years with the employer has been a challenge and I am glad we are through this now.
I wish each and everyone waiting for their GC to get their GCs ASAP.
Thank you one and all for your support on this forum.
Thanks.
Premium procesing not available for 140 amendment. PP is only for fresh 140s.
Sandeep, i guess we need to wait atleast a month to get our 140 approved...mine too similar case as urs...comp. got acquired after my original 140 was approved...acquistion hapend 3 years ago.
when concurrent filing is done, i think adjudication happens when amended 140 is approved.
