TSC Feb filers, is anyone able to see your case status online? I still couldn't!
I think TSC folks are in much better situation. I guess TSC has hired new staff following their horrendous delays towards the end of last year and have now sped up. Kanmani - you should see EAD/AP approval in 7-10 days based on recent approval trends. I am expecting another 15-25 days wait for mine.
I am the dependent and have my EAD/AP on hand. I am leaving to India next week end to pick my daughter up. How long can I be away from the US? If I stay for 6 weeks in India, is that abandonment of status? My husband is the primary and he will not be travelling. I have a valid H4 and AP.
Thanks!
My personal opinion is that 6 weeks should not be a problem as you have a valid H4 as well (in case 485 gets denied for some reason). You run the risk of GC getting approved while you are out of country - there was some discussion that in that case you would need to get an immigrant stamp in your passport before returning.
Guys can you please provide your inputs for the following.
1. How much time is it taking to get any decision after responding to RFE, ( BC for myself and BC and MC for wife), got the receipt notices for RFE review.
2. if spouse starts using EAD (earlier H4B) do we need to report to primary's employer
thanks

Kumar,
Both me and my spouse got RFE for BC's - we mailed it Feb 13th, and the status changed to RFE Response Received....on Feb 16th and I got the CPO status change on Feb 17th....I am not sure if this is Normal as I know Teddy has been waiting on "RFE Response Received" for sometime now...But wanted to share this info..
Good Luck to you..
Kanmani,
Will keep you posted. On EAD I would agree with imdeng on the 40 day mark for TSC. Most people I know who applied prior to us got it in about 5 week time frame. Also the recent trend on trackitt seems to be right around that ballpark and there are outliers which are less than 30 days too.
Kumar, regarding Q1, decision after responding to RFE can take anything from a few days to a few weeks. From a look at recent trackitt cases that had RFE and were approved, approval time was generally less than 2 weeks, but some waited for over 2 weeks, even a month. So, it's a wide range.
Can someone please re-open the Post I-485 Filing - RFE's Discussion thread... seems to have been accidentally closed. Thanks!
Folks,
I must Thank each and everyone who helped me grind these painful days one at a time. The list is huge, but TeddyK, my brother, you top the list. TeddyK,Nishanth,Veni,Soggadu,Q,Essenel, imdeng,Kanm ani, Spector, VDLRao and many others : A huge Thanks to all of you. God Bless!!!
It's been a very rough and painful 14 year journey to this day. Thanks for being with me during some of my most painful days.
I must also Thank Ron Gotcher, which I will send a personal note, as he had helped me out with his suggestions when my attorney goofed up my 140 petition and I had go work in Canada for some time.
Will definitely be around :)
Thanks! I think they are backlogged on updating status. The decision date was 03/05/2012 and I got the response now:03/07/2012.
What is the "real" address of this place ? My guess is it is 285 N Broad St, Elizabeth, NJ and not Elizabeth City, right ?
Any tips from people who have been here ?
1.It took roughly 18 days for me. I have seen the spread to be between 3 & 30 days.
2. No, each application is different. You don't have to update your employer about secondary ever. Even on primary, you must update your employer only if you had signed a paper with them that you will not work any where else but for the employer. if not, you don't need to update even for primary applicant's second job.
Leo many congratulations again. Your words mean a lot to me. It brings lot of happiness to me to see one of my longest time forum compatriots greened now.
