RD - Oct 2020
Biometrics - Mar 2021
EAD/AP -June 2021
ER raised for 485 - Aug 2021
Medicals RFE - Sep 2021
RFER - End of Sep 2021
485 approval - Nov 15 2021

In between raised multiple ER's for EAD/AP and 485. Recently (early Nov) raised the issue with senator, Not sure which one worked but eventually the case was approved. Moral of the story : Keep chasing uscis until you see the end of the tunnel.

Hello Gurus,

I am happy to share that my I-485 has been approved last week.

I want to sincerely thank EVERYONE on this forum who actively contribute to community and keep sharing the wealth of knowledge with rest of larger community. (avoiding names as it would be unfair if I miss someone's name, have learnt from so many Gurus on this forum for last 10+ years and few may not be active anymore).

Also sincerely wishing good luck to all still waiting, it should come soon for everyone.

We are right now in a winter wonderland as a lot of old timers have gotten their GCs and moved on. So the forum is a bit inactive. Then spring comes, new experts emerge and they help others. I am honestly just a gatekeeper and do occasionally answer what I can !

Finished interview today morning at Newark. The officer said he will approve our petition after the interview. Status changed to Card production ordered as soon as I reached down the building.

I would say very relieved. I am also very happy that I can count on reliable people who got greened this year in 2026 for N-400 questions.

I have to say special thanks to Spec, Idliman, YT, sportsfan, vsivarama, ak, android and lot of other fellow passengers who shared their wisdom during my time here in the forum.

Finally greened after 15 years of coming to this country!! This forum has been a constant source of information and inspiration to me for more than a decade :).
Q, Spec, AceMan and other experts have guided so many of us here with their pearls of wisdom!

My PD (5/23/2011 EB2-I) became current as per July bulletin this year. I didn't file for downgrade last year (fortunately in hindsight).
I sent in the I-693,I-131,I-765,I-485J forms along with my I-485 application and it went to NBC luckily.

Below is the timeline for me and my wife:-

RD - July 2021
Biometrics - Aug 2021
I 485J receipt - Sep 2021
Case Sent to Field Office - Nov 2021
485 approval - Dec 15 2021

Yayyy! What are the odds right :) I remember asking you for advice on what all forms I should submit with my I-485 application this July.
Your prediction was accurate! I got my GC approved without the EAD/AP approval :)
