Teddy, sorry for the dumb question, but does each I-485 application get linked to the I-140? Is that how they would know the rest of the info like education, etc? Because that information is not in the I-485 application.

I think all the Oct and Nov filers have very good chances of GC approval in next month or two (specially true for NSC filers based on recent trends), if FP is complete. I got my approval within 20 days of FP.

BTW...I am getting barrage of email notifications about "card production ordered" and "Decision" for myself and my wife. I am not sure what is logic of sending multiple notifications with same message? Anyways I am waiting for my Cards to arrive in mail in next few days.

Yes they have to link everything to the I140 because that is what determines eligibility. Also the same A # is on the 140 & 485 for the primary applicant.

Seems there are 5 I-485 approvals on TRACKITT for NOV, 2011 filers..from NSC on 01/25/2012..its unbelievble and amazing

Great relief for several of us who have been here for 10 or more years.

Gurus , do you know how dependents cases come up for i 485 approvals if the dependents have filed separately for I 485 with primary receipt .

Once the primary gets approved , is there any check that triggers the dependent file to be picked up ?

ha ha....we spoke last week all about AC21 as he is planning to move out his consulting firm.. i told him ..we still have 3 more months blah blah blah...but all good went on his side and he is all set for a new green life..........he called me today to see if i was approved .....:) and thanks for your wish soggadu

I just check the status and it's showing EAD/AP got approved for myself and for my spouse.

Details are as below:

Service center: NSC
PD: 01/23/2008
ND: 12/08/2011
Approval date: 01/26/2012
FP: Waiting
485: Waiting

I dont know if it is a coincidence, an hour later I received an Email with

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION


Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

I did not receive anything regarding the AP.
This is the first Email I received after the receipt notices.

Anything stands out? Is this normal?

hey!!!! fudge all the questions and congratulations!!!... i think people who work on your case and who look into your case when you call for information are different and a look up by level 1 or level 2 officer shouldnt trigger your case to be picked up!!!! bottom line, in my opinion it is mere coincidence ... but... enjoy the EAD if you can and dont worry about AP, they both are a combo deal now a days....

To all who have had their EAD/AP approved.

When did you see a status change online? After you got the SMS/Email notifications or even before that.
I have a feeling its pointless to the check the website during the day isnt it ?

Yes still waiting for the EAD......:confused:

In my case, the update was reflected online before I got the email.

Hi Stemcell - for me it got changed after the SMS/email. Yes no point in checking the status in web. But i was checking even in day time as i cant control.

For me, it happened about the same time.
I checked the USCIS site in the morning, nothing..and called the CR to generate SR.
Then I had an Email in 60 mins and the site reflected the status..

The case status online usually seems to get updated in the night/ early am (probably some batch pgm. is running at that time). I see in some cases, that I know personally, the emails/ case status update happens after they get their cards.

I am proud to say i filed at the Tortoise Service Center (TSC), its just that i am currently undergoing Anger management and the coincidence of my chill pills running low, and the Tortoise moving so slow along with the crazy therapist i am seeing......is at the least to say is not helping.
Now i see myself waking in the night checking the machine....Damn !
