Sogaddu bhai, I called USCIS for the missing receipt they confirmed the number and will be sending the info again. Officer was very nice. Everyone will get a date for FP based on the load of the nearest center. Everyone gets 1 date but heard some centers are flexible about walk in.
Which Center in NJ. Check the trackitt threads, I have read some people in NJ go early.
On a lighter note: usually service center folks are not too enthusiastic about people running or jumping or crawling or driving their way into offices. They prefer if people walk in for an appointment
Yes. I did read in Boston ASC they allow on Wed. So after i get my FP. I will give a shot
Stemcell, don't worry you have my company.
I had Dec'8th appointment. We just walked in @Atlanta ASC and completed biometrics this afternoon. Nobody asked about early walk-in, I also didn't mention about it.The whole process took about 20-25 mins.
Also regrarding the LUDs- From whatever I noticed, NSC applicants get lot of LUDs compared to TSC folks. For issuing FP notices also NSC applicants get SLUDs,which is not the case with TSC(as far as I observerd).
Guys, Why do we need to rush in for finger print earlier in case if there is a scheduled appointment received by us?
Forgive me if I am mistaken, but finger printing is only a part of the AOS process, but not a pre-requisite for any steps, which they follow in processing the apps.
We can even get our EAD's and AP's without finger prints..right?
Hey red2green,
Nice to know that Atlanta takes walk in.
So when you got the Dec 8 appointment did you call the service center and ask for walk in appointment or you just walked in? And what did they do to the Dec 8 appointment...just cancel it ?
Thanks in advance.
Nice to know you are from the Atlanta area :)
Ok, I got my I-485 receipt notices - 1 each for I-485, EAD and AP.
Receive date: Nov 8. Texas Service Center
Notice date: Nov 9.
Arrival date: Nov 17.
cool. expect FP notices in exact 1 week. In this case Monday after Thanksgiving may be :) Good Luck!
@Stemcell- I didn't call the service center in advance, just walked-in. Staff were very nice & friendly at ASC.
Dec'8th appointment doesn't have to be cancelled. I think it will just show up as completed in the system. FP appointment letter is stamped indicating FP processing is completed. We need to save that for future references.
If you are walking-in, avoid Mondays & all mornings. You don't see anyone waiting in the queue after 1PM and is good time for walk-ins. good luck every one.
As soggadu bhai said, good to see a fellow citygen in the forum...-:)
Just received a scanned copy of the FP notice from the attorney.

I have a question - I registered on the USCIS case status system and then tried to log in to my account and I got a message saying my password is invalid. So, I tried again - didn't work. I thought, ok ,maybe I entered it wrong, so I tried to reset the password and got a message saying - can't use the same password that you previously used. ?! So I changed my password and tried to log in again. I'm not able to log in! Has this happened to anyone else? I'm wondering if I got locked out and if I did, will I be able to try again later or do I need to create a new account?
Edit: I was able to log in successfully - it was my mistake.
Bhai log,
Got 6 receipts today by snail mail for myself and spouse together.

FP- Not yet.
Texas service center.
Wife's PD has received date on it.I guess most of you have the same issue so i am not freaking out.
Received FP appointment letter today. FP date is 11/25. Is it not supposed to be a holiday? I have to drive 3+ hours.... hope I wont end up seeing a closed office.
Haven't received mine yet. Getting a bit anxious. Is it too early to call USCIS and ask for an update or should I give it a few more days?

@10102007 - The RD and ND are on the notice itself. You can check with your attorney when exactly did they mail your packet. The delay is going to be progressively higher, so even if he sent say 5 days late your packet may be looked at 15 days late due to volumes. Don't worry though but best to be on top of things. If you have sent your cheques then check for them. Calling USCIS is very simple all you will need is your A#, do not hesitate to call they are quite courteous.
Friends just received the notice copies for FP at home today. It’s good that they are sending everything to the applicant directly.

FP - waiting
I see an interesting trend on trackitt for ppl who have filed in Nov. Many of the TSC applicants have received FP notices as well, while none of the NSC applicants have received the FP notices yet. As Teddy mentioned in an earlier post, it seems the TSC is definitely faster on this front.
I got my FP Notice yesterday.
PD : Sep 2007 EB2
SC: Texas
RD: 01-Nov-2011
ND: 03-Nov-2011
FP: 02-Dec-2011
Anyone current in Nov and filing with NSC got FP notices yet? I am also wondering how long it took for folks who became current in October to get their FP notices.
Further to this, I checked the NSC entries for Oct applicants. High level observation is FP date 4-6 weeks after I-485 receipt ND. The delay compared with TSC doesnt make much sense as the local FP offices wud be common (depending on state/location) for TSC/NSC applicants.
Does anybody know if EAD/AP are processed only after FP? If yes, then I might have to think of early walk-in.
Also, anyone else from NJ area? I believe my FP office would be Newark.
Thank you for this information. I was actually able to walk-in to my appointed ASC (Cincinnati) today (11/21/11 Monday @ 11:30 AM) and get the finger printing done. When we walked in, it was empty and no one was there. I explained that my appointment is actually on Dec 8, but I was in town and wanted to check if I could get it done earlier. The lady in the counter was real nice and said, "sure, you could get it done".
Then, she checked the original FP notice and ID (Drivers License) and handed out forms that we had to fill (the usual bio details, A# and Receipt numbers from notice). Once we filled the forms, we handed them to the counter along with the FP notices and Drivers Licenses. They went in and after couple of minutes took us in 1 after the other to get the finger printing done. They also took a photo once FP was done.
When everything was done, I went to the counter and asked her again if I need to do anything about the actual appointment (like cancel it). And, she said, "Nope, this is it. You are done". So, there shouldn't be any issues because of the advance finger-printing I guess (hopefully).
All the best for everyone waiting for the next step in the AOS process.
