Today our hosting company hostmonster.com's datacenter/s are having some network issues. As a result our wesite - like many other hostmonster customers - is down. Unfortunately all we can do at this moment is wait for hostmonster to fix the issue. We will keep you updated and let you know once the website is available.

Recently we made the site (www.whereismygc.com) more secure by moving the site to https. The new URL is https://www.whereismygc.com.

In most cases your browser should automatically take you to https://www.whereismygc.com. However in case you are getting a 301, 302, or 500 error. Please take following measures to clear your browser cache and cookies. You only need to move whereismygc related cache and cookies.

For Chrome:
Step 1 - In your browser copy paste following link and hit enter chrome://settings/cookies
Step 2 - Search whereismygc
Step 3 - Remove all cookies
Step 4 - Go to https://www.whereismygc.com

Internet Explorer:
Step 1 - In Tools (Alt+x) choose Safety. Delete Browsing History. The Delete Browsing History dialog box shows up.
Step 2 - Select cookies, website data and all temporary files. (unfortunately IE doesn’t allow deleting specific items)
Step 3 - Click the Delete button.

Safari:
Step 1 - From the Safari menu, select Reset Safari... .
Step 2 - From the menu, select whereismygc items, and then click Reset. As of Safari 5.1, Remove all website data covers both cookies and cache.

Step 1 - From the Tools or History menu, select Clear Recent History. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
Step 2 - From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select Everything.
Step 3 - Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose whereismygc history to clear. Click Clear Now.
Step 4 - Go to https://www.whereismygc.com

Forecast Model Updated based on 2013 Visa Statistics from Dept of State.

Those who are not aware - WhereismyGC forecast model consists of
A) 485 Data
B) Future Demand Estimates across all categories and countries
C) Processing Times, Visa Limits and Other Variables.

As and when we notice any information that will impact one of these data inputs, we adjust out data inputs.

System forecast updated based on latest 485 and PERM data. ( https://www.whereismygc.com/login.php )

The gist is that PERM data confirms 33-36%reduction in PERM approvals. We expect this will act favorably for EB2IC.

485 data doesn't have any Aha! Generally speaking 485 data in the middle of a year is not very useful.

We also analyzed third set of data (USCIS dashboard) which also confirmed that indeed the slowdown is across PERM, 140 and 485 processing. So 2014 wouldn't be as bad year as we earlier thought it was going to be.

p.s. - In 1-2 weeks from now we are going to tweak our simulation algorithm as part of our continuous improvement in our algorithms. Until then good luck!

We made two important updates today:
1. EB5 China data was re-estimated and updated. (It was about 2K downward adjustment).
2. Forecast Algorithm updated to more accurately allocate within category spillover.

Pardon my limited knowledge I have a very basic question about the whole timeline -

When whereismygc projects that for Jan ’11 PD the estimated GC date as Aug ’16, is that date is when we get the card in hand or it is the date when PD becomes current. If it the prior one then on average how many months before the PD is expected current? I just wanted to know when one needs to be ready with I-485 filing. Also what are the timelines for other milestones like FP etc?

This row tell you when an average case should be able to file 485.

The row by name "Date by which GC may be obtained" tells you the date when applicant can expect to receive GC.

There is additional explanation by CO (as per Oh's law firm). As per that explanation CO apparently has predicted that he will move dates to Spring by Sep 2014.

In the interest of Qs Blog users we would like to disclose that Whereismygc.com tool has been predicting Mar 2009 for EB2-India as an average case scenario.

It means two things:
1. Unless your case has some issues or unless you are a new porter (i.e. less than 4-5 months since filing EB2), you are likely to be greened if your date is Mar 31st 2009 or prior in EB2-I category.
2. The actual date movement could be slightly beyond Mar 2009 to ensure visas are not wasted. (It is quite possible that CO might already have thought of it while predicting Spring! We will know soon.
