For me... Nov filler... TSC and still waiting for EAD... my friend DEC filler had EAD approved over the weekend...

man I have got zilch nada zero null undefined void 0 shunya. no FP, no EAD/AP. Since last summer, my life has been on edge, first living month to month for each VB, and now living day to day for that USPS mail, or email or sms.

I think the FP notice has something to do with the workload at the ASC closest to you. If you could start a new thread on this forum and on other forums (trackitt, imminfo.. etc..) with the details of your expected FP location and check if people have received FP notices at the centre, you could possibly gauge the demand there..

Just a thought..

If you meant about docs Received SMS, I think you need to file a form along with the application. I don't recall that but Nishant mentioned is sometime back.

If you meant for status updates, rfe/approvals/deinal SMS/Emails you can go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do and register yourself.
Once you get the recipts, enter your Case# and select text and email options.

I have never heard of getting receipts via email.

I agree. In my area, even my friend with RD of 11/4 has not got FP notice. There is one more with RD of 11/29 , no notice. Plus they know others from NSC, Nov filers, even they have not got it. I also know a guy from trackitt, who is a Dec filer, in my area, but TSC, even he has not got it, generally TSC is fast.

How crowded can my ASC be? People in Los Angeles have got it, which is like the headquarters of all sorts of immigration :)

Something's really messed up with Ventura county ASC.

I think they should generate the notice, even though it maybe 2 months in advance, and make rule not allowing early walk in unless genuine emergency. That will give peace of mind.

Can you check with the folks with Nov. RDs,if they had opened SRs with the NSC ?(they must have).. Its likely that they would have received a response by now.. That will give you an idea about whats going on..

N... these things have been so random... i know people who didnt get reciept notices for 60 days and some whose receipts doesnt show status...most of these guys got their EAD's as soon as things started showing up.... wishing you tons of luck and some FP dust on your mail box ;-)...

seems Trackitt site is getting too busy..its going down every 30 minutes..LOL..people are crazy to track (like me)

I think it is a glorified form of changing your AoS to CP, paying another set of fees :) I will leave it to someone who is more knowledgeable to explain in detail.

I agree. I didn't understand it completely also, I google searched and read some links. But it does look like changing AOS to CP and involving a attorney in this process closely. Basically this is quite a blatant money earning ploy by Ron, which is ok, I mean, it's his profession.

Friends -I got my combo card today in mail. Also got 765 approval notice in mail. I did not get AP approval notice ..Will i be getting AP approval notice also?. Please let me know

You are right! I got the RFE letter today. Copy of birth certificate and copy of marriage certificate needed from both me and my spouse. We submitted the copy of marriage certificate and copy of birthcertificate of spouse. But I submitted my copy of my original weak 30+ yrs old birthcertificate that says 'Baby Boy' (instead of my name) + affidavits from parents. Looks like submitting a record of 30 yr old document without a name, got me a RFE. I was worried a lot on what all they might ask..

can you elaborate on this? I have also submitted a copy of BC with affidavits and my name is not there on the BC. Are they asking for extra documents? Whats the purpose behind it since you have already submitted what they want.

Yes. You will get AP Approval notice as well.
My attorney told me that I have to keep the I485 receipt notice along with EAD / AP combo card, to show it as a proof that my I485 is still pending. That is good enough, even if I485 is approved, when you are coming back.

I really dont understand why they asked for them again. Either they dont believe the 'handwritten in ink' Birthcertificate with no name or they might want to see a similar one that everyone has now a days...ie a printed one. I dont think I can talk to anyone at USCIS as I have only one chance...so I'm trying to get a printed one as well, ofcourse with my name on it.
I submitted my spouse printed birthcertificate, but they want it again.
And we submitted marriage certificate copy and they want the copy of it again...

So adding few more days to the already long waiting game....

My PD is June Ist week 2007, Received my EAD/AP last week (had an RFE for pp picture not good - Yap, pathetic). Wife got her's in Dec 1st week (LOL !!)....Changed my address last week of Dec...got my ead/ap in my new address.

Looks like people are getting 485 approved after my PD....Should I be expecting another RFE ...my case is pretty clear, same F500 company for last 6 years (grinding the same thing)...Any insight would be helpful ..

Anybody knows what happd to qblogfan ...did he apply ?Soggadu, you are right - I'm going to copy this forum in my harddrive...hope to show it to my daughter one day, off course she will laugh what I ( we) all went through..

3 M based on the discussion with my lawyer about birth certificate, I think your RFE is because of the absence of your name on it. The birth certificate needs to have your name, last name, parent's name and the birth city.

Is it common for Attorney to get receipts and not the petitioner? as My attorney received receipts notices on 13th Jan, and I haven't received mine yet. Please advice

Viswanath, If you have filed a G 145, you may get the receipts also.

My lawyer's office does not do a G 145. Instead, they get email updates on receipts directly and if the lawyer has included your email and ph # in that form (whatever it is) then you will get it. Else, your lawyer will be the only person to receive the receipt #

My attorney did not ask for EVL at all, according to my attorney recent 3 paystubs would be sufficient. Check with your attorney again.

one user in Trackitt saying his friend got his GC approved without EAD/AP. He is a Nov filer NSC..see below.. Good to see approval for NOV filers

My lawyer said that they encourage/recommend travelling on H1/H4 but in my case they said because I have to go and get it stamped in India they said do that anyways but go after you get your AP. I want it stamped because if the dates retro then renewing AP is a pain.

leo... called the 1800 number and they asked me Hum aap ke hein koun? i gave the receipt number and they said hum hein rahi pyaar ke but only after nabbe (90) dino ke baad...tab tak "mudd mudd ke na dekh mudd mudd ke..."
so for now "Intaha ho gayi intezaar ki...aayi na kuch kabar EAD yaar ki..."
