HI Essenel- i conacted college and Admissions keeps records only for 5 years and then they shred it. So they don't have it.

(1) This is required as per the attorney. I had to jump through lot of hoops, contact my old schools and get my I-20s. My attorney told me if I couldn't find, there's nothing we could do and file our app with what we have. But, in the end I was able to find. So, bottom line is, try your best and leave the rest.(Gita?? :)) Contact your schools and your old employers there might be a way you could find a copy of it. If you don't find the I-20, you'll at least make some contacts which could help defend an RFE, if it ever comes to that.
(2) Most recent I-94 is what's needed. Your record of last entry into USA.

I emailed my attorney saying our EAD/AP got approved and she replied back saying
"We will inform you as soon as your documents arrive. AP usually comes to our office about a week to 10 days after approved. EAD approval notices and the cards should go to your home
I thought it will be a combo card or both AP and EAD will come to my home. any comments
Curious, if any October filers got their GC approval from TSC??
sun, this is rule of thumb they follow:
1. if you are current, they give 1 year EAD
2. if you are not current because of retrogression, they may give 2 year EAD. This would mostly always apply to renewals, unless your dates kind of retrogressed the next month itself after you applied.
Where does the AP/EAD/FP Notice go to? Applicant's address or Lawyer's address? Is there some place where I should specify this in the forms?
Guys, in simple words, this is my understanding as well as my lawyers. My lawyer is not a big shot like fragoman etc, but he is very nice person and has really good knowledge, and has always obtained success for me.
- just legible clear photocopies of birth certificates, marriage certificates, passports and so on
- affidavits or any sort of certification (like translation certify) must be "wet" in form and signage, meaning original and signed by applicable parties in original
- anywhere you are providing an application or form to them, and you or lawyer are signing, the signatures need to be "wet" signatures, no photocopying of forms
leo07, I frankly do not think they go to these depths, they will just follow simple laymen rule of thumb memo. when press approve button, if you current, 1 year, if not current, 2 year. Let's see though. Logic can be a big liar in these matters :)
ps: Quote reminded me of old times, playing Max Payne. It had a quote, I remember the game uttering when I was playing: Logic is such a liar.
Hi codesmith,
This thread in trackitt has a spreadsheet, where you can see the number of days between filing 485,FP and EAD etc.
http://www.trackitt.com/usa-discussi...-2011-eb2-only
I'm sure there are other means too...from trackitt.
soggadu, EAD/AP is just a matter of time.( in-line processing). Unless you are planning to travel outside, you can relax. GC, it's a different tension altogether. So, you must continue to worry about GC:)
Bhai - I was like you all night thinking about EAD/AP but at 11:33 pm all of sudden i got a SMS/EMAIL and things changed. I never expected this. I was prepared to call the customer service after my 90 days but finally all went good.
I am sure that this week you should get your approval as our Hero is back from vacation. My best wishes soggadu
Thanks Leo.
Usually i get tensed but i m not freaking out this time. The fact that they accepted the case when her date was not current is comforting enough. Lawyers are going to do their thing, we will see after that.
I think your mantra "Stay Calm" is most important and most applicable on this thread. i know we get anxious and need to realize that the processing will not be strictly in order and little here an there is going to happen. Unless there is something that clearly states that there is an issue there is usually no need to worry.
"Stay Calm, All izz well"
Friends,
I had to reschedule my fingerprinting (fp) appointment and wanted to share my experiences here. My appt. had to be rescheduled because of my vacation in India. TSC sent me the fp notice and the appt. was earlier than anticipated. I had already informed my lawyer of my return date and the paralegal rescheduled my appt. a week before the scheduled date.
I was worried a little bit if there will be any questions during immigration, at the port of entry, as I was entering after my appt. date but had not got the reschedule notice yet. But no questions were asked (I had a valid H1 stamping and was returning using it). I got my rescheduled appt. notice, a day later.
Today I walked-in to the ASC in Alexandria-VA around noon. The center was free with hardly 10 people around, filled the form, showed my ID and the appt. letter, and the fp was done in 10 minutes. If anyone needs to walk-in to this center, I think it should be fine. No questions are asked about your appt. time. There is also ample parking space in the facility.
