Yes. But, if some one is using EAD/ AP (parloee), then they will be out of status the moment their i485 gets denied.

As nayekal said, you are fine as long as you are maintaining H1 status. Here's a bit more info explaining the status issue if you used AP.
Do we need the passport for finger prinitng or just a valid id i.e driver license would do?
Hi guys,
I have a unique situation due to dates moving to Jan'09 in this visa bulletin. I have PD of Oct'07 EB2-I and filed 485 at NSC on Nov 14th along with my wife as dependent. She has her own Oct'08 PERM which is now current. I have following questions:
-Should my wife file 485 again as primary and me as dependent? Is that okay? We just want to reduce risk if either 485 goes into audit.
-My wife's company doesn't pay for 485 dependent filing(they will pay for her 485) so it should cost us about $1070 ..is this really worth doing?
-Also another issue is my wife just came to know that her 140 as filed as EB3 even though her labor which cleared audit was approved for EB2. She has spoken to her lawyer and they said they will file new 140 and 485 concurrently. Is this doable?
Gurus,please respond with your thoughts.
Fingerprinting done today at Atlanta as Walk-in basis.
Had travel plans for the scheduled date.
Atlanta service center was busy this morning but still it was in and out.I and my spouse were out in 30 minutes.
You are welcome username. Although my check was cashed last Friday. I am yet to receive receipt notice. My attorney said 2-3 weeks. Patiently waiting for the next steps. With Christmas and new year around the corner things maybe a little slow.
Thanks for the reply. I see... I guess I don't really want to take that risk and I don't want to take the risk of stamping either, so I will wait a couple of months to make a decision! :)
Question for all - is there any way of knowing when your application is pre-adjudicated? If so, is it safer to travel on AP then?
Hi all,
I received the EAD/ AP approval e-mail and text from NSC yesterday at 10.30pm CST. However, my wife, whose I-485/EAD/AP application was filed along with me has not received any e-mail/ text and her LUD has also not changed since RD. Is this usual with NSC or a cause for concern? To others who filed in Nov at NSC and received EAD/AP e-mail/cards:
did you and your dependent/s get e-mail/sms at the same time or was there any delay for them?
thanks all.
Received notices for all three app. AOS , EAD , AP for me and my wife in mail. ( Applicant's copies ). Mailed out on DEC 2nd , Received date DEC 7th and Notice Date DEC 9th.

Gurus,
We have received Finger Printing notices for both wife and myself. The appointment date on the FP notice is Jan 3rd.
Is there any risk if we go to the finger printing earlier than the appointment date??
Thanks,
