Thanks to all Gurus and everyone else. Have been following this forum since its inception and can't recall a day when I didn't check it.

Don't know if I am happy or relieved or worried why wife's status didn't change. I just don't feel any different (I used to think I will scream with joy when it happens).

So finally 9.5 years after entering US on H1-B and 5 years 11 months after filing for PERM , I am now a Permanent Resident.

Got the CPO mail for wife as well about 10 minutes ago... I guess the IO went on extended lunch break after approving mine ;)

Received "Card Production" email/SMS this morning for me and my wife followed by Decision email/SMS.

Thank you Q, Spec, all the gurus and contributors of this forum. Its been a quite a long journey and was a great experience travelling along with your comments/predictions. A BIG THANKYOU for all the hardwork/effort you put in to give the hope and ray of light at the end of the tunnel which doesn't seem to have an end at time.

Congratulations for the people who are current and got their GC. All the best for the folks who are waiting, I know its anxious but hang in there, there is always a good ending to every journey.

So I've heard these terms thrown around for post CPO events/docs - Welcome notice, welcome packet, Approval notice, tracking #s. Is there a sequence to these? Are the notices similar to I797s?

I guess I can wait and find out but today is a slow day at work with most of the bosses already gone to the damn hamptons for the weekend.

Thank you!! Its been some time, my journey to US started in 2002 with masters, took some time to apply for GC but in the end as u mentioned all is well :)

Guys, got CPO mails Saturday morning. After 14 years in the US, hopefully this chapter is closed.

Senator inquiry initiated Aug 8 (no response till Aug 29 from TSC; they were planning to re-inquire today)
InfoPass: Aug 12 (was told my case assigned to officer on July 31)

Thanks to this excellent forum for providing high quality analysis and reliable info over the years...

I still expect USCIS to deliver my wife's card to the wrong address, as they have done with 2 RFEs (despite the correct address with LI/L2), but that is a smaller anxiety to getting approved.

Good luck to all here, and I am sure most to all current in August will get approved this year!
