Question for folks who have received FP notices. I know that there is no sms/email that FP notices have been sent - but is there a LUD change when they send the FP notice?

Nope... atleast none for me. My EAD/AP had the last LUD of the day when the case status became visible in the system. It went from that LUD directly to today;s with the approval.

the 485 still has the old LUD...

Regarding FP notices for NSC feb filers

Hey Feb NSC Filers,

My spouse had called up USCIS to correct our address in his application (as a result of which we hadn't got his receipts though I as dependent had got mine at our residential address). He had called once last week to make the change and once again this week to ensure the change had been made since we didn't get any notification of the same.

At that time he specifically enquired on when FP notices could be expected. What we heard is the list for FP notices is still under preparation in NSC and would take some more time. Thought no concrete time estimate was given, just sharing so that it helps soothe the "checking the mailbox" syndrome that all of us are so prone to in this long wait :)

We almost have the same details..... I would want to see how that pans out. Compared to you I am 6 weeks ahead on PD and 1 day late on the FP (NJ) although I applied 2 days ahead of you..hows that for methodical madness :)

I think TSC folks are in much better situation. I guess TSC has hired new staff following their horrendous delays towards the end of last year and have now sped up. Kanmani - you should see EAD/AP approval in 7-10 days based on recent approval trends. I am expecting another 15-25 days wait for mine.

At least NSC gets something done well and in time. My online case status was visible a couple days after my received the receipts.

I am the dependent and have my EAD/AP on hand. I am leaving to India next week end to pick my daughter up. How long can I be away from the US? If I stay for 6 weeks in India, is that abandonment of status? My husband is the primary and he will not be travelling. I have a valid H4 and AP.

My personal opinion is that 6 weeks should not be a problem as you have a valid H4 as well (in case 485 gets denied for some reason). You run the risk of GC getting approved while you are out of country - there was some discussion that in that case you would need to get an immigrant stamp in your passport before returning.

Decision time after responding to RFE

Guys can you please provide your inputs for the following.

1. How much time is it taking to get any decision after responding to RFE, ( BC for myself and BC and MC for wife), got the receipt notices for RFE review.

2. if spouse starts using EAD (earlier H4B) do we need to report to primary's employer

Kumar,

Both me and my spouse got RFE for BC's - we mailed it Feb 13th, and the status changed to RFE Response Received....on Feb 16th and I got the CPO status change on Feb 17th....I am not sure if this is Normal as I know Teddy has been waiting on "RFE Response Received" for sometime now...But wanted to share this info..

I got the EAD/AP CPO txt msg today. "On March 5th,....blah blah". Apparently it took about 36 hours from their decision to do the online case status update.
