Congrats!. So, is it true that the email/text alerts are sent later in the day? Would you mind telling us the time you got the text notification? Also, which timezone are you on?
Thank you,

wow guys.... there is this guy/gal on trackitt with username k485 and it looks like he got his 485 approved already? Nov filer TSC with Aug 07 PD....
Can someone please confirm??
Hi Guys ,
Just wanted to get some thoughts on any experiences dealing with RFEs after filing for 485. I filed as a dependent and I'm on H1B at the time of filing. Since last entry in to USA . A few months before switching my status temporarily almost 3 years ago , I was on bench for 4 months with out pay. I'm just a little worried if they ask pay stubs and stuff for that period. I have had 3 H1b approvals sicne that incident and had been in status with al lpay stubs. Current pay stubs are all accurate when filing 485 this month.
So, does USCIS go really deep to check if the dependent on 485 had been In status ?
Yes. USCIS will check the history of I485 for the dependent as well. But, I don't think they will go to an extent of asking for pay stubs unless they find some thing missing with your AOS package. One of my colleague submitted just passport and H1 B copies as dependent and he got his GC and never had an RFE.
Go here & setup the filters accordingly. You can limit the applicants shown in the list based on their PD, RD, ND or various other fields by clicking the "Advanced Filters" link. You don't have to be a member to see the reports.
Your FP notice will have the ASC (Application Service Center) where your FP appointment has been scheduled. And, yes! you can walk in and get finger printing done as soon as you get the FP notice. But I'm not sure if that expedites the EAD/GC process. As of now, it is quite clear that FP is not necessary for EAD as several NSC applicants have got their EAD approved even before getting FP notices. I'm not sure if getting advance FP has any bearing on the overall GC processing time.
If it matters....Some from October ( like me) are waiting too... :(
I feel for you buddy. It is hard/stressful enough for me to see that there has not been any change to my applications while fellow Nov filers are getting EAD approval notices. I cannot imagine how difficult/stressful it would be for you to see NOV filers get their EADs while you've been waiting since october. Try to not think about it too much (I know this is easier said, than done). Hopefully you'll get good news soon. I wish you all the best.
I am not sure whether any one of you have noticed or not, but all my colleagues along with me have got their EAD / AP Approvals along with receiving FP notices. This looks like a pattern to me, as all of us have got our AOS apps sent to USCIS on the same day (we used company's attorney), RD and ND were also the same. EAD / AP approvals (35 days gap) came on the same day. We got our FP appointments on the same day too.
My dates are updated
There is a great degree of randomness in the whole process; RD, ND & PD are just some of the factors. TSC has been very fast in issuing FP notices but they are kind of slow in EAD / AP Approvals. Probably they are working on your GC - I485 case itself :) There are cases from Trackitt where the EAD / AP were denied and I485 was approved.
Friends!
I have just joined and I have truly been a silent admirer of this forum. Kuddos to you all for helping everyone in this process!
Hopefully, someone can help answer my question.
Our lawyer didn't file for Form-765 at the time of applying for 485 in November. Is it possible to file for EAD now? If so,what would be the time duration to apply?
Thanks.
PD: 09/24/07 | NSC | RD: 11/22/11 | ND: 11/28/11 | FP Notice: 15/12/11 | FP Appt: 01/05/12
EAD ??
You can apply for EAD anytime till ur I-485 is pending. As per info I gathered recently, you will not have to pay any fees since you have already paid for I-485. You will have to submit a copy of your I-485 receipts as proof that ur I-485 is pending. In any case, check with your lawyer to confirm...
Ding! Ding! Received EAD/AP approval texts and emails at 10:30pm EST today. Santa Banta Claus ki jai !!!
IndiaEb2 - expect yours soon :)
congratulations gchopeful bhai.... Mera number kab ayega?.... Hopefully this holiday season....
[QUOTE=gchopeful123;16643]Thanks buddy. Tera number bhi zaroor aayega...very soon. I believe TSC has started issuing EADs too. Though NSC is giving out EADs faster, I have a feeling that TSC will adjudicate I-485s faster.[/QUOTE
Congratulations gchopeful123....Great news.....
Quick Questions, how do we know that our 485 has been adjudicate.....Thanks
FP done since they allowed early walk-in (Bethpage, NY). It took about 10 mins for both together.
Thanks!!! GChopeful123. I will check the same with our lawyer. And Congrats for getting your cards just at the time of holiday festivities. One more reason to rejoice :)
Hi All,
Has anyone had an ammended LCA due to location change? Is an ammended H1 B also required or an ammended LCA is enough for relocation?
Thanks everyone for the wishes!
RRRRRR,
I don't think there is an online mechanism to check status on I-485. We can either open a Level 2 SR with USCIS to check status or schedule an infopass appt to know the status. In either case, it's too early and they may not give appt/or open SR citing that the USICS I-485 processing times are around 4 months (or more).
