Yesterday I got update about address changes on 485 application. Status for wife changed from response review to initial review.
Today I checked closely and my 140 application has also gone to Initial review saying name changed.
I am hoping this is because I switched from my EB3 Primary to spouse EB2 primary.
So since i am derivative now , is that why my 140 could have gone to Initial review? Any inputs?

With the date moved forward to Jun 15 2008 and we know there will be some left over EB2I cases. Is there a way we can take some proactive action from our side. I am thinking the following :
1. Create SR on September 4th 2013(Give them a day or two)
2. Contact Senator or Congressman before September 10th 2013 (Wait for first Full business week after Long week end)
3. Talk to L2 officer before September 10th 2013 again about the SR status
4. Make an INFOPASS appointment and talk to IO
5. Watch for October Bulletin for any signs of retrogression in the near future
All these things are throwing some stones in the dark, we never know. No body want to be left over this time.
What is the possibility people with no RFEs getting approved faster. When you see August 2013 Approvals I see more people with RFEs got approved first, reason being when they received the RFE response. IO approved the case right away if the response is satisfactory. What about the cases with no RFE. It's all luck when the case gets assigned to the officer.

using 6% conversion rate, its 4433 so far,
today my anxiety and need for GC sky-rocketed after I realized that I could lose my job any day,
Previously in spite of concurrent h-1 and ability to do 2 jobs, I left the old employer in august 2011 with whom I could have applied for 1-485 ( if I remained few more months in the job) during last Frenzy (late 2011) and by the time I got new I-140 ( with old PD retained) the dates retrogressed.
I just found myself rather in a very uncertain situation that I just don't want to start new job search and application etc., as it takes about 2-4 months from the time of applying to actually finding one and I am worried about the consequences if I were to lose this job now.
My question is if I have a job offer letter by the time of 485 approval, will that be good enough as actually starting to work it might take couple of months and moreover most employers find it easy to give employment letter ( in fact there is a Philippine doctor with whom I worked before who has business of his own considering giving letter) as long as they don't have to actually send it to uscis as I think AC21 filing is just optional.
Please ask for any clarification, I am just stressed with anxiety and not sure if I can make it through finish line this time ( I have decided to stay in job unless fired this time)

Thank you for your service to the fellow members. I have one question. I am currently on EAD & my PD is 05/20/08 which will be current in Sept 2013. Before publish of the bulletin, I received offer from another Employer which is very encouraging. Now the dates are going to be current I am hesitant to join before obtaining GC.
Is it ok to take the offer after getting my GC immediately since the offer was pre-existing? What are pros & cons?
