Future of Q's Immigration Blog

Friends - today I am writing to discuss future of this blog.

Q's Immigration blog was founded in 2010 with the goal to help all immigrants - establish clarity and reduce uncertainty - particularly the backlogged ones in EB categories. We have been wildly successful in doing so. We owed our success to all the people who contributed to this blog as well as to the values we espoused. We believed in freedom of speech, respect, and using data with passion. Our goals were to establish clarity and reduce uncertainty.

I started WhereismyGC in 2012 but I have always made sure that Q's Blog remained separate and independent. That commitment stands even today.

However it is time for me to stop taking care of this forum. It's been more than a decade I was greened. As I am getting more and more engaged with other commitments I find it hard to devote the time and energy to take care of this forum.

I am happy to hand over the forum's control ownership and operation to any group of people who will run it in a non profit way. The forum still has a treasure trove of information and a name recognition. I welcome any such proposals or ideas.

I remain thankful to all users contributors and above else all the moderators for their contribution and hope that next generation comes forward to drive this forum in the interest of all immigrants.

Q? Thanks for such a nice forum, without this forum I would have lost my sanity in the insane wait for a GC, I wish whoever chooses to take the ownership maintains the forum with the same principles and objectives.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the effort you have put into creating and maintaining the site. I know it's more time consuming than it appears. I remember the spam fighting days of old.

There's been the odd hiccup, but the site has maintained its ethos of free, respectful speech. I believe that has been the most important aspect, as other sites have descended into name calling and bickering.

I am very much like you I think. It's also more than a decade since I was greened. Like you, I have found my energies being devoted to other commitments and I have essentially retired from the "immigration" business.

I wish you (and your family) good health and hope you prosper in your ongoing and new endeavors.

I hope you find the right people to take up the task.

I wish the very best to you and your family too. People won't believe it but I truly have no clue who you are ! I am sure you can find me if you want to :)

I do hope next generation of people come forward to run this forum with the same values that this forum has tried to adhere to.

Thanks for hosting this space, Q. It has been much appreciated. I think a lot of the 'action' has migrated to Telegram groups, so maybe the forum has served its purpose. Will be sad to see it go but it feels like activity has been declining anyway.

It is almost a year since I have been greened and I still check once in few months, because Q site is still bookmarked. I sincerely wish you all the best, and hope this site is bought by true immigration aspirants committed to founders vision.

Ace - I am not selling this site. I am pretty much giving it away. I m simply asking that they run it in a not for profit way in the interest of immigrant community.

Thanks abcx- You are perhaps right. If there are no takers - I will probably freeze this. I don't know. Telegram facebook twitter youtube - there are so many groups and people. So yes perhaps this old fashioned forum is not required! I still like how a forum organizes information. I am not sure if others allow that as well as a forum. In any case, I will let the users decide.
