What happens after Consular processing approval

My PD is current and I am currently in India and can't come back to US right now(due to personal reasons) to file AOS . I am thinking about switching to Consular processing. I am reading about it and I have a few questions. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

1) Do we need to submit client letter? I know employment offer letter is needed and that is not a problem I read that it is a common practice to ask for/submit client letter during AOS process. Is it the same with CP as well?
2) Are there any restrictions regarding staying with the same employer (&client) after getting your Green card through CP?
