EAD/AP Renewal receipt notice delay

Team, I need some help & guidance. I filled my EAD/AP renewal on 12/09/2020 at Lewisville, TX lockbox. We haven't received a receipt notice yet and my EAD expires on (03/03/2021). Like to know if any of you guys are experiencing similar delays?

Action taken so far :
1. Email to LockboxSupport@uscis.dhs.gov.
2. Try to call (800) 375-5283...no success got stuck in an automated answering loop.


Can you please suggest what I can do?

Also, just in case I do not receive my receipt in time what will be my legal status to live /work?

You got caught in with mass filing of I485 in October 2020. Even a few people who sent applications on the last week of Oct are still waiting for receipt notices. The best thing for you is to hope for a receipt notice from lockbox. There is not much that you can do until you get a receipt notice. The 180 day automatic extension of EAD requires a receipt notice.

You can also submit the Ombudsman case assistance form. Most of the assistance / relief methods are dependent on a receipt notice. What you are facing is a whole new ball game. Sorry I am out of ideas.

My applications were received during last week of November [NSC]. I got the receipt over the past weekend.

I tried several times to chat with EMMA, but always got the boiler-plate response, any suggestion /help ?

Sorry harapatta, I havent chatted with Emma to give you proper guidance. But do take your local senator's help. The senator's website should have a form to fillup - Use your A number [Assume you have one already]. They can for sure get you the updates in a day or two.

Try asking for a live agent as follows:
Type "Live Agent" in the chat which will give you these options ->"Case Status"->"Connect to Live Chat"->"I don't have a receipt number"

thanks for the kind help getting in contact with the live agent through EMMA, it almost worked ...at the last stage it said all agents are busy...many thanks again.

For USCIS CS try early morning. Immediately after 8AM. Once it is mid day all lines are clogged with callers.

Thanks, idliman, your suggestion worked. I was able to connect with a live agent. ( got the same standard answers, but I am keeping my hopes high )... :)

My spouse's EAD AP renewal was applied in late Nov at TSC. We too are still awaiting the receipt notice. Her last one was a one-year approval, whereas was a 2 year approval for me. Her current document expires in mid May.

I am in the same boat. The mail confirmation was received in late November, but no receipt yet and very worried.

I am scanning through various forum/internet and looks like USCIS TX Lockbox is going through 2-3 week of November applicants and issuing receipts, can anyone pls. confirm or share their personal experience.
