My current status is AoS pending since 2012 with a valid EAD for 1.5 years. Currently I am facing potential job loss. In order to insulate myself from the whims of the job market, I am thinking of doing an EB2 NIW petition either for myself or for my wife. Both of us could be eligible. Assuming this is the case, does it make sense to do it? Given AoS pending status, are we not some what insulated from job loss.
