I140 withdrawn confusion

I am the silent reader of this forum for along time. I appreciate all the help you are doing. 2 years ago my previous employer told me that my I 140 was withdrawn. But recently when I approached him again regarding I 140, my employer did not find any evidence that my I140 was withdrawn. They are not sure i140 was withdrawn or not. And my employer and attorney decided to file I 485 and filed it in October. I got a notice for finger printing. Does that mean my i140 is active? When exactly I know that my i140 is active in this whole process?
